Question about GE GTS22WCP Top Freezer Refrigerator
Xalint1, thanks for the quick response...here's some further info....
it is not under warranty, but here's something strange, after 2 days of just blowing the fan, yesterday afternoon the fridge (and freezer) started working again. Thats not the end of the story, to add to the mystrey, this morning when I chedked, it stopped working again. This is very confusing, please help.
The GE refridgerators are known for bad mother boards (or circuit boards). The relay gets carbon tracking and causes arcing until it finally burns out. I am a mechanical engineer and I work with an electrical engineer. Our GE fridges went out in the same week. A place called appliance parts pros dot com had our parts in stock and we could order through the net on their website. The part is roughly 150.00 including shipping. By the way, your unit started working again because the relay is making contact temporarily. It will fail again.

If it's still under warranty, it would be fixed at no charge to you by the HP.
A local tech can fix it for about $75-$100
