Re: further on the GTS22WC problem....
The GE refridgerators are known for bad mother boards (or circuit boards). The relay gets carbon tracking and causes arcing until it finally burns out. I am a mechanical engineer and I work with an electrical engineer. Our GE fridges went out in the same week. A place called appliance parts pros dot com had our parts in stock and we could order through the net on their website. The part is roughly 150.00 including shipping. By the way, your unit started working again because the relay is making contact temporarily. It will fail again.

Hello Friend, this is Z. I am happy to assist you!
I show that your post is listed under Frigidaire refrigerators and I'm presuming you are seeking the warranty on your refrigerator. Frigidaire appliances are covered by a one year limited warranty from your original date of purchase. Typically you can find warranty information on your appliance on the last page of your manual under Major Appliance Warranty Information. Hope this information proves be useful. If you need further help, please feel free to reconnect.
If it's not under warranty, I'd recommend finding a reputable appliance repairman besides Sears. They are notoriously expensive and slow. You can also purchase one of those home warranties and get it fixed under that coverage later.
I have the same problem. I just called custormer support and they are shipping me a new ice bucket to resolve the issue (I'm still under warranty). Based on the agent's quick response, it seems that this is not an uncommon problem.
Good day, If the ice maker is working, then there is no problem with the house water supply. Everything on the machine is under warranty and Samsung is responsible for repairs. If you were given an 800 number call, otherwise call your selling dealer for service.
HI, Can you hear the compressor running? Does it click like something is trying to start but can't? It sounds like the compressor is not running. The compressor should have a 5 year warranty. They are having problems with these compressors so, you might want to call Amana and see if it is under warranty. I hope this gives you some help. Please let me know if I can assist you further. Thanks Vic
Hi, That clicking noise is the relay/overload trying to start the compressor. Is this under 5 years old? They have had a lot of problem with these. I might suggest you calling Amana and inquire about the warranty. If the warranty has expired, you can try to replace the relay kit. If I can assist you further, please let me know.
for most kenmore refrigs there is a manufactureres date right on the model number tag. I am a sears service tech and I can assure you they dont need to know the previous owners info in order for you to get warranty service. if you cant find a mfg date on the model tag then go to this site and input your serial number in the whirlpool box and it will tell you when it was. manufactured.
Btw 241.00 would be about the price of the compressor alone with labor and all additional needed parts thru Sears it will run you close to 650-700 to repair. Thanks Peyton
Hi I'm a subzero asc (Autorized service center) Subzero would not be responsible, your unit is out of there warranty. Now if the service company your dealing with is any good they can get a new compressor under a part warranty from there part distributor. Also in my many years working on subzero I have never seen oil dripping from the compressor unless you have a leak somewhere in the sealed system. Unfortunately the only thing you can do is see if your service provider will fix the unit. they will charge you labor if they get the part in warranty. It's possible that the service provider did not to the job properly but that's your word against there's. Good luck I hope everything works out for you..
