Brother MFC 210c fax copier scanner printer - fax problem
My fax machine was unplugged for approx. 1 week and it seems to be receiving faxes...the line is not ringing but it continues to make noise like it is trying to print. The main display continues to count higher it is currently at 45 but it will not print any of the faxes off. There is paper and ink in the machine and no error message. The copy function works fine will it print theese faxes off?

Hi dbostrander. First check for foreign objects in the paper path. Check if you have any faxes in memory because you will lose them when removing power; see later. Pull out the paper tray from the front and check for paper jams or torn paper anywhere inside the machine. Also check the 'jam clear screen' at the back of the printer. Remove the cover, remove any obstacle then replace ther cover. From the front of the machine lift the top cover from the right side till it is fully open on the slide. Check for jams. If the jam is under the print head you will have to disconnect the power (losing any faxes in memory *see below) to move the print head out of the way to clear the jam.Lift the scanner cover to release the lock. Gently push the scanner cover support down and close the scanner cover. Check whether the MFC has faxes in memory 1.Press Menu/Set, 9, 0, 1. 2. If the MFC has no faxes, disconnect the MFC from the power source for several minutes and then reconnect it then do as above.
—OR— If faxes are present, you can transfer them to another fax machine If you have not set up your Station ID, you cannot enter fax transfer mode. 3.Enter the fax number to which faxes will be forwarded. 4.Press Mono Start. 5.After the faxes are transferred, disconnect the MFC from the power source for several minutes and then reconnect it. You can transfer the Fax Journal report to another fax machine by pressing Menu/Set, 9,0, 2 in step 1.
