You Need To open The CPU(Or tower) to acces the motherboard, the you need to find the CMOS jumper and switch it one spot over the CLR or clear, that will clear the password. If that don't work remove the battery on the motherboard for few seconds then reinstall it. Good luck.
your cmos battery(CR2032) is FLAT. you need to replace it. you then need to CLEAR the cmos so it doesnt contain corrupt values. that process erases any passwords. usually the jumper is next to the battery . fit new battery. move jumper to CLR position(shorting pins) wait a few seconds. move jumper back across to NRM(normal) position. start the pc, enter the BIOS, load DEFAULTS, SAVE and reboot. enjoy.
if you want to check the compatibility of your graphics, just go to the website of emachine and Go to the support page and enter your motherboard's model. Download the motherboard's manual or review the specifications.
Don't go by what you see in windows as far as the memory that is being used. Go into the BIOS of yoru emachine and in the BIOS it will tell you how much memory is in your system. As long as the total memory in there is 512mb, that is what matters. Windows doesn't always give accurate info but the BIOS will.
If the BIOS doesn't show the full 512 then its either a memory stick problem or a motherboard issue and you won't truly know for sure until you try other memory sticks.
The amber power light indicates that your computer has been "sleeping" or "hibernating" and usually all it takes to restart the computer is tapping a key on the keyboard. If this is not the case, try holding the Power switch down for 6-10 seconds to force the system off. Restart in Safe Mode and try to find the settings for Sleep/hibernate, open the control panel and open the Screen Saver. Select "Change Power Settings" and set it for "Never" on sleep and hybernate.
I understand ur problem San.First u have to restart ur system then press F8(function key) for just 5 to 10 sec.
Then a screen will appear with several options, in that select 1st option(Safe Mode).
Through this u can login into windows without login.
Then enter into control panel-->user accounts-->change password.
So that u can resolve the issue.
