I have the exact same problem you had/have with the display. Did you ever get it fixed?

Actually I got distracted, and moved on to other projects, however I believe you can get support for the product from HP's website. I believe it was a driver problem, If I could find a CD rom and boot disk, what I would do is load Win 95 from a formatted HD then upgrade to Win 98, then upgrade again to XP or whatever your looking to use. The main problem I seemed to have was that 98 didn't have the driver or even recognize the CD Rom ( even though it was working ) so I couldn't load any video drivers. I dug it out to give it another go but again seem to have other stuff to do.

I have a asus eeepc, that display is broken then i change same type display but it will not working properly means a blue screen error message is coming when it on

If the replacement screen is not the exact model for your laptop, it will not work properly. "Same" may only be similar and not "exactly the same". If it is exact, then check to be sure all of the cables are properly connected. Also check that all of the other cables in the laptop are still connected. Perhaps one was knocked loose during the screen replacement.

very sorry to tell you that the lcd has gone bad because your laptop shows exact symptoms of this case.
As per what some HP costumers have told me HP takes this as a physical damage and does not give them a warranty even if it is in the warranty cover
Finally you will need to get it replaced

This is the most expensive fix after a motherboard and may cost you $180 or 8000-9000 INR

Hi Sabsob,
Open your Laptop and check your Fibre cable if its properly fixed and damaged, rectify those issues. Also check the display Capacitors if they are burnt and damaged. Just incase they are, replace them with the exact ones.

My laptop screen size

If you're running XP: Right click on the desktop and click Properties. On the Advanced tab, move the resolution scroller to the right. You might have to have an experiment as to exactly which setting is right for your laptop so to restore your usual size without distorting the screen.

If you're running Vista: Right click on the desktop and select Personalize, then Display Settings. Then adjsut the slider as detailed above.
