Question about Cuisinart Thermal DGB-600 Grinder

1 Answer

Programable Timer I've set the programable timer numerous times and still nothing happens. I've set it for all different times in the morning so that coffee is ready when I wake up in the morning. The manual says to hold down the 'program" button till it blinks and set the time and that's it. That's all I do and nothing happens. The unit is not turned on at that point b/c the water and coffee is filled and it would make coffee when it was turned on. It doesn't make sense and I'm very frustrated. Pleeeeeaaaase HELP!!

After you follow the directions in the manual, you have to press the Program button one more time so that it lights up - THEN it will make coffee at the set time.

Hi It could be the timer switch but if you hear the timer move(whirring) it is probably OK. There is a thermal fuse on the motor that will go out and you just have to replace the thermal fuse. Its under the wrap on the side of the motor. Which grinder do you have?

  1. Press and hold the TIME button for 2 seconds. The green TIME light will come on and display will read 12:00. The unit is now in the timer programming mode.
  2. Press "HR" and "MIN" button to program start time. Small dot in upper left corrner signifies clock is programmed for A.M. No dot in upper left corner means clock is programmed for PM.
  3. The Timer Display and LED light will flash 5 times to indicate that timer is now set. Press and release the TIME button. The green TIME light will come on.
