In order to display slideshows in Nikon View the Apple QuickTime software must be installed. QuickTime is installed from the Nikon View CD or can be downloaded, for free, from the Apple Computer web site: http://www.apple.com/quicktime/products/qt/ Quicktime is available for Windows 98, ME, 2000 and XP as well as Apple Mac OS 9 and X. If Apple QuickTime is not installed, when the "Slideshow" button is clicked the computer will "beep" and nothing else will happen. Installing QuickTime and restarting the computer will allow the show to display as desired.

I can not save my pictures?

Dear Darlene

To save your photos, you should already have done the following:
You clicked on "Create New Slide Show". A new window appeared - it is called "Slide Show Creator - Select Photos". You clicked on "Add Photos". You looked for your photos on your computer, selected them and then clicked on "Open" to add them to the slide show. (I'm leaving out the parts on transition, soundtrack and duration, since they do not relate directly to your question.)

Now, click on the "Next" button at the bottom of this window. You are now at the window called "Slide Show Creator - Options". At the section called "Name Slide Show" type a name for the show. To save the photos: 1) click on the "Finish" button at the bottom of the window. The window disappears and you are now back at the Menu window (where you started). 2) Click on the word "File" at the top left of the window. Go to "Save Project" and click on it. A window called "Save As" appears. Type in the name you want to give to the project and click on "Save" at the bottom right. You have now saved the project (including photos) on the computer - it should be in your "My Documents" folder.
If you go and have a look in your "My Documents" folder, you will notice a file (or files) with a ".slw" extension. These kind of files contain information about the slide shows you've created. They form the individual parts - or chapters - of your project. They are only used by the SlideShow Expressions programme. You will also notice another kind of file, one that ends with a ".ssp" extension. It should contain the name of your project, because that's what they are: project files. It contains all the information that is needed for the programme to burn or view your project: the chapters, the photos, the soundtrack, etc. This is the file you will load when you've just opened SlideShow Expressions and want to continue making or editing your existing project(s). If both these kinds of files are there, "slw" and "pps", it is a good sign and means that your project (and therefore the photos contained in them) has probably been saved correctly.

I hope I understood your question correctly.
If you have a legitimate copy of the programme, there will be a User's Guide on the install disc. It is good to consult this when you have questions. Simply insert the install disc and once it activates a window on your screen, click on the relevant link (something like "User's Guide") to access the guide. You can also copy the User's Guide from the disc to your computer. This will be usefull if you're going to use the guide a lot. To copy it, insert the install disc and then go to "My Computer". Right-click on your ROM/Writer drive (it may display the name of the programme), and click on "Explore" to look for the User's Guide on the disc. It is a pdf file. You can copy it and then paste it somewhere on your computer for quick access.
If you still have questions, you may make use of the free online support: go to www.individualsoftware.com/support.

The best of luck to you.

In ma laapi i m not able to make a slide show help me

Put all the pictures you want in the slideshow into one folder.

To create a new folder just RIGHT MOUSE CLICK on an empty spot on your desktop, scroll down to the word NEW, then over to the word FOLDER and click on that.
The new folder will appear on your desktop and then you just name it whatever you want.

You can either drag your photos into that folder with the mouse or COPY and PASTE them there.

Now double click on the folder to open it up.
On the left hand side of the page under expand the PICTURE TASKS menu.
In there you will see an option to VIEW AS SLIDESHOW.
Click on that and your slideshow screen will appear and the slideshow will start playing.

The PLAY (start slideshow) button will be in the upper right hand corner.
The PAUSE, NEXT PICTURE, PREVIOUS PICTURE and the CLOSE SLIDESHOW SCREEN buttons will be up there too.

Good luck and please comment back and rate if this was helpful or if you need further assistance.

I don't know how to make a slide show of pictures for facebook.

Go to slide.com .The first page will give you options from where to get the files. Choose Facebook as the image source. Hit the "Get my images" and the website will redirect you to Facebook. There, you will sign in to your account.
Slide.com will not keep any login information when you do that. Choose the pictures from your Facebook photo albums. Slide will copy the files from Facebook. Wait until all the photos are copied or uploaded.
A new window with "Customize your Design" title will load. There are a lot of options for the Style, Skins, Themes, Music, Background, Effects, Size and Privacy. Select what you want from these options. You will see the effect of your choices by looking at the slideshow's preview at the top of the Web page. Rearrange the pictures' order and edit the caption if you wish to. Continue changing your options until you get the most satisfactory slideshow design.
Save and add the slideshow to Facebook. Click on the "Save (get code)" button. The code will be shown to you. Copy that in case you want to paste the slideshow on other social networking sites. Slide.com has an instruction on how to copy and paste the code. Alternatively, you can select Facebook as your option to where the slideshow will be added. Choose Facebook and click on the "Add!" button.
After saving the slideshow, you will be asked to join Slide.com. Joining is free and if you want to edit your slideshow, you should join in.

I made and successfully burned my first slideshow. Now I made a second slideshow. When I click on "burn" my slideshow doesn't show up. The picture box there is empty.

go back and see where you kept the first slide show. Rename and move it to a new folder.
now try the new slide show again and see if it works.

How do I rotate my vertical photos back to horizontal?

I don't think your camera has that facility[to rotate image]. As for a slide show you will have to upload the images into a computer to make a slide show- which requires new software-your computer may have some all ready on board- Then will have to be burned to a disk if you want to view it off computer- the camera is out of this equation now. Come back if you would like recommendation for slide show software
