Printer locks unable to change ink cartridge

I purchased my printer on 11-21-07 for 69.99 plus 7 % sales tax. I was on the phone for 2hours with Gabby.I was then sent a previously used printed to replace the first. The second printer has the same problem plus when you try top change the ink cartridge it makes a gringing noise. I have called your helpline for two weeks I am disconnected each time. On my email I received the number 080626-0007 93.This has been going on since late June.I feel I bought a new computer and was sent a rebuilt computer, neither one works. At this time I want my money back. This is no way to treat a client. The nerve of you to send me a rebuilt printer with the same problem plus the grinding sound.I have no faith in your product.any longer by the way I was treated.Send me my money back. I answered your survey and stated exactly how I felt and was treated.Thankyou. Lucille Cortellino

may be print head is damaged as canon guys mentioned they don't last forever. that was their answer for 2 canon printers which was giving trouble. so either change the printhaed which could be costly or replace it for which they give a discount coupon.

Need to know how to change printer ink

Do not touch the electrical contacts or print head nozzles on the Cartridge. The machine may not print properly if you touch it.
1. Make sure that the power is turned on, and open the Paper Output Tray.
2. Lift the Scanning Unit (Cover), then hold it open with the Scanning Unit Support (C).
genebur2_1.jpg 3. Pinch the tabs and open the Ink Cartridge Locking Cover.
4. Remove the Cartridge.
genebur2_2.jpg 5. Take a new Cartridge out of its package and remove the orange protective tape gently
6. Put a new Cartridge in the Cartridge Holder.(The Color Cartridge should be installed into the left slot and the Black Cartridge should be into the right slot.)
7. Close the Ink Cartridge Locking Cover to lock the Cartridge into place.
8. Push down the Ink Cartridge Locking Cover until it clicks.

Part That Locks down the Color Print Head Is Broke Need a new one

dw76 I havn't seen C-60 parts for sale, except for ink cartridges but when I have needed any parts I look for Epson C-60s for sale. I just bought an Epson C-60 for parts on Ebay for $19.30. Thats for the whole printer including tax ($14.50). I don't think you could get any part delivered for much less than that. I've bought C-60s from Craigslist, Amazon and individual sellers too. The clamp down over the cartridge is easy to remove and install. Just gently squeeze the two prongs towards each other and it comes right off. You didn't ask for that information but I thought I'd stick it in just in case

Unable to install black ink cartridge on my Epsom Styus nx110 printer. Help Cartridge think cassette won't stop where I can install the toner, just goes back to the right. It is tax time, you know.

You can always do it thru the utility.
click on start, click on printer n faxes
You will see your epson icon with a check mark, double click on that icon, click on printer tab, then slect printing preferences, printing preferences utility will come up. click on tab, Click on the Maintenance Tab as shown below, then select ink replacement icon. Follow thru to changing cartridges. It will move the ink station to the proper stop.

If you find this helpful pls rate me.

Thanks and Good Luck.

Tried to change ink cartridges and couldn't. Now

Did you use Epson Genuine Cartridges?
Epson Requires Genuine Epson Cartridges. !!!!!!!!

In Purchasing Epson's CX 5400, CX4600, & CX7400 and more, I found out that Epson does not like Generic Printer Cartridges. That sounds like your problem. Also in Purchasing the Brother's . Color that should be Yellow, will turn out Green, Blue Brown, etc.
These printers have a chip, that will detect if it is Generic or Genunie. When using Generic Cartridges, it will print lines thru the words, stripes across the picture and also do a mix match with the colors.

That's what these Companies do., so they can keep selling the ink cartridges. Some Printers, are able to use Generic, but you have to fill them up yourself and I heard, quite MESSY.

So I learned, thru trial and error, that you must use the ORIGINAL Genuine Cartridges for these PRINTERS. Some people say some models work fine compatible, but not mine.......

I had to replace the printer, but Epson, Lexmark & Brothers are always on sale. My Brother & Epson cost me $50.00 with Rebate. Don’t waste too much ink in cleaning it.

This is the only advice I can give you. If you find this helpful, pls rate me.

Thanks and Good Luck :0)

My canon iP90 portable printer stopped recognizing the installation of the color ink tank. It keeps asking to install the color ink cartridge and won't print until the color ink cartridge is recognized

According to Canon, the if several actions did not correct the issue, it was a hardware problem. They sent me the location of the closest repair shop. I spoke to them and to do the repair is $80 + parts which my research estimated at between $50-$80, for a total cost of $130-$160 plus 10% cook county Illinois sales tax. I have ordered a new updated printer for a total of $215 plus no tax or shipping charge. I'll be taking the old printer to a location for recycling. I can't believe how disposable this equipment has become. What a waste of raw materials and energy.

Help please

hi lilwallace;
The federal excise tax of 8% on the round trip ticket is calculated by multiplying 8% times the price of the ticket. Remember 8% is written as .08 when we multiply.
$832 times .08 = $66.56 is the excise tax

$832 times .06 = $49.92 is the sales tax

Now we just add the ticket price plus the excise tax and the sales tax and we get $832 + $66.56 + $49.92 = $948.44

Hope this helps Loringh PS Please leave a rating for me.. Thanks
