I just fixed one off these units for ten dollars, this is a common problem with this tv. power supply is built very cheap. if you have any experience with soldering you can fix the power supply. if you remove the power supply then remove the heat sinks you will probly see on the end where the ac power is connected a bunch of capacitors if any of the tops are bulged up or show signs of leakage out the top they are probly bad. i changed 10 and fixed my problem. hope this helps cause you wont find a new power supply except one on ebay right now.

a power surge can do alot of damage but does your model have a fused plug? as would check this. if you have changed the power board for a know working one then the main av board has gone this is the board that tells the power board to turn on.
Before changing the main board for a dead TV there are quite a few things to be checked. First of all the main cord, then the fuse on the power board and then the power board. In your case please check the fuse on the power board and replace it with the same rating. If the TV starts working, enjoy watching and if the fuse blows again, consult some TV Tech.
That problem is usually cause of faulty capacitors on the power supply board..
Just follow this instruction to fix your TV..
1. Open the back cover of your TV. 2. Look at the power supply board..Its normally connected to the power cord.. 3. After that,,try to look at the actual image of capacitors if it is bulged on the top so that you can easily determine the bad capacitors.. 4. After that,,try to replaced the bad capacitors using soldering iron and soldering lead..replaced the capacitors only with the same type ratings and value.. 5. Some of the capacitors not bulged so its better if have a capacitance meter

you can open the back of the tv and see if it blew the fuse but watch out for the flyback anoid it still holds power if you don't know what that is it the thick red wire that plugs into yhe tube so DON'T UNPLUG IT FROM THE TUBE you will get a big charge and the fuse should be near the flyback and if it still dosen't work the the output IC is probley fried.
