Pod1_fus jam code

Jam codes should be POD1_NR (paper didn't reach) or POD1_S. (paper on the sensor flag). There's either a buildup of toner on the sensor flag just out of your fuser, a buildup of toner on the guide in the right door, or your fuser needs a rebuild. Or your 'pawls' (pick fingers) on your fuser are stuck, broken, or crooked.

I have a Laserjet p4014dn printer. it warms normally but once it picks up paper, it jams. i have dried clearing jam several times but on starting to print it jams

Three areas you need to check.1.Pick up area: While pick up roller picking up the paper, delay pick or no pick causes paper jam..
2.Registration assembly area: Once paper picked from the tray, paper leading edge registered by the paper sensor located under the registration assembly.. In case this sensor dusty malfunction or flag damage, paper wont sense. result paper damage..
3.Fusing area. If the paper travels up to fuser area, check paper jammed before entering in fuser(Teflon not rotating properly, replace teflon sleeve) or just crossed?(check paper sensors in fuser unit, clean the sensors & check flags, flag springs.

I have canon 2900 and it having every time paper jam problem please help me

Analyse where paper jamming is happening? remove right left back & top covers..press door switch, shoot print command. Remove cartridge after paper jam, check upto where paper travel?
1. If paper jams with curl foldings in cartridge bank area..before entering the fuser assmbly..
# Teflon sleeve not rotation properly due to this paper not passing through it result curl foldings..Replace teflon sleeve..
2. If paper passed fuser assmebly little bit(near about 2-3 inches.
#Problem with paper out sensor/flag. clean sensor, check sensor flag movement & spring.
3. Check registration paper sensor located back side.
# while passing the paper, sensor flag has to act & once paper out it has to reach home, other wise paper jam error will appear.. check flag spring.

What is this ??

Typically there is a piece of paper caught in the fuser exit. If no paper evident(ie paper feeds cleanly, stops 1 inch past fuser) verify there are 2 sensor exit flags present and free to move. Occasionally 1 of the flags gets broken off the sensor causing this jam.

Constant paper jams in lexmark t614

it would help to have a bit more information on where the paper jams. but ill give this a shot any way. 241 jams clean or replace the pick wheels on the auto compensator. 201 jams no paper present change main motor drive. paper stops 3 inches through the fuser timming issue check the paper size i the paper menu check the fingers on the side of the tray letter is the 2 bottom fingers sticking out. if you have network port print the network page if it is smaller than the page change paper selction pcb located behind the logic pack. if the the line at the bottom of the read out is missing and the box is incomplete the printer is reporting leagal size paper change the paper size pcb. 202 errors check the sensor flags on the fuser. there are 2 sensors on the fuser the one on the left is the narrow media sensor the one on the right is the exit sensor. check to make sure the sensor flag is not broken. check them for fluid movement if you cant hear them snap back replace the sensors hope this helps you out

Printer problem

even a very small piece of paper (A small piece torn off a jammed sheet) can cause the sensor arm to stick in place giving a false paper jam. Double check the entire paper path (what is visible) using a flashlight.
Also, check for broken "flag" sensors. Basically a flag sensor is a small piece of plastic that is pushed out of the way when the paper is traveling through the unit. If one of these flags is broken it may display a paper jam error as well (The flag after paper travels through will drop back into the paper path.) If this is broken it will not trigger the sensor and thus the error condition exists..
Most likely you have a small piece of paper stuck inside the paper path somewhere.
Do not, I repeat do not use any sharp or pointed metal objects to remove any small paper from within the fuser unit, the fuser covers are very delicate and such poking and prodding will likely damage the fuser covers, causing bad print quality or drastically decrease the fuser life (a small tear will quickly render the fuser useless).
Hope this helps!

Lexmark W820 jamming at fuser? I have replaced the fuser and the pickup rollers in tray 1 and 2, the paper diverter in the output assembly because sometimes the paper would get caught in the teeth after...

Hello,

Check to make sure that sensor is plugged in good at the sensor end and the logic board end. The printer uses that sensor to tell it that the paper has exited the fuser correctly, if it does not get a signal within a certain time frame it will give a paper jam error and stop printing. The sensor itself may be broken or the little plastic piece that you can see that is called a flag may be jammed so that it does not move to show paper movement. How far does the flag stick out? It should be about 1/8 inch out in the paper path, if less than that the flag is broken off and will need to be replaced. I hope this helps. If you need more info let me know. If this solves your issue than please rate my solution.

HP laserjet 5500dn paper jam at fuser

Hi,
I was able to fix my problem. On the left side of the fuser assembly there are two small plastic tabs or flags that move up & down. One is attached to the plastic rod/flap that you can see from the top of the fuser and moves when the paper comes out of the "chute". The other tab, which is below the first tab and moves when the paper has passed some point in the fuser, was broken off. I glued the tab back on and now the paper is ejected from the printer like it is suppose to.

I'm thinking that the broken tab was part of a page sensor flag that would tell the printer to stop rolling the fuser assembly when the paper was ejected. Without the flag, the sensor would disengage the fuser prematurely and stop ejecting the paper while the paper was still in the fuser.

Paperless paper jam

Ok, the paper jam ERROR could be due to one of the following:
  • Check for paper in the paper tray
  • Check the size of the paper in the paper tray to see if it is the same as what the printer is set for.
  • Defective D-roller
  • Debris in the paper path
  • Gears not turning or broken gear
  • Defective paper tray
  • Broken input sensor flag
  • Defective input sensor board
  • Defective system cable 2
  • Defective system board
  • Exit Sensor flag (Fuser)
  • Exit Sensor board (Fuser)
  • System cable 1
If there is no bit of paper or debris stuck in the rollers, it would indicate something more serious, and in need of servicing. If your machine is under warranty, I suggest you take it back to the shop and get it replaced or repaired under warranty.
If your warranty has run out, then you'll either have to get it serviced or buy a new printer (whichever works out cheaper for you)

Hope that helps!
