Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
Ok i installed it, i scanned it....and now can you please advise me how to clean it?
Let's begin here:
go to toolbar>tools>internet options>general tab >and delete all you cookies
Now let's go to start>programs>accessories>system tools>disc cleanup> click on this and let it run and answer yes when that option comes up
Empty your recycle bin
Go to your email program and delete all the old stuff
Is your desktop crowded with things you never use? If it is you can right click on the icons and delete them. (this does not delte the programs!)
In the lower right hand corner do you have a bunch of little icons in the taskbar? If you do tell me what you have there. They really slow down your memory and you can just as well have an icon on the desktop instead of there. I will help you clean that up if you tell me what is there.
Finally, go to start>programs>accessories>system tools>defrag and run that . It takes a while.
All of these things will speed up your computer.
Also check all of your connections to make sure they are secure.
Do you have a registry cleaning program? If you do not after you are finished with all of this and have restarted your computer go to www.tucows.com and search for a "registry cleaner freeware or shareware" Download the free ware one if there is one with the most "cows" and run it. Make sure you do a clean download which means turning off all the programs running in the background(the little icons in the lower right corner, including your virus control. Download the program to your desk top and then click on it to install it. Restart your computer and then run the program.
