Question about Sanyo NVM-4050 GPS Receiver
I JUST PURCHASED A SANYO NVM-4050AND FOUND OUT THAT THE GPS CAN'T NAVIGATE SOME OF THE ADDRESSES I KEY IN.I NEED A MAP UPGRADE ANY HELP?
September 20th 2009. Just checked the website http://www.easystreetnav.com/ You can purchase a dvd map ugrade here for $79.00
Personaly I think this is BS. There should have been something sooner and way cheaper. A lot of bells and whistles but sorely lacking support and not all that great over all. Id be happier with better navigation then backup camera's and "fm" transmiters.

Unfortunately there is no solution...... I contacted NAVTEQ and I’ve got the following answer:
Thank you for contacting NAVTEQ. Currently Sanyo does utilize our map databases however we do not produce nor distribute discs for their systems at this time. For information please contact Sanyo directly at http://sanyoservice.custhelp.com or 800.421.5013; select option 2 then 3.

After that, I called 1800 as suggested and I got the answer I didn’t want to hear:
Sanyo said that “The policy of the company is not to update NVM4050 EVER… the only one to be update is NVM 4370” ….
So, we are stuck with our NVM4050…..
How about everybody that owns a NVM4050 calls them ?!?!?!?!

Sanyo is the worths in GPS and the customer service sucks I have the same problem no tech support Unfortunately there is no solution

Sanyo has to have the worst customer support for this product. If we would update the maps or POI then it would be a great product.

I have the same problem..searched Sanyo's website and could find no tech support for software update. Robert 9-10-2008

I just contacted the Sanyo Service and came to know that there are no new updates available and if they release one it will be on the website http://www.easystreetnav.com/ and we cannot even update the maps by other third party means, which looks bad on the product support side.. :-(
