WHY THE HIGH WARNING BUZZER IS COMING ON OFTEN

Good Afternoon Friend, thank you for your question!

Typically the buzzer/alarm will sound and the red light, if equipped, will also glow if the temperature of food rises to an unsafe level. Did your refrigerator previously experience a power loss? If you buzzer is sounding, you can deactivate the alarm of your refrigerator by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker. It is good to wait approximately ten minutes and then turn on your refrigerator. After deactivating the alarm and your refrigerator has run approximately four hours, the relight/alarm should go off on its own. If the red/light alarm continues to stay on, your freezer may possibly have a communication problem with the control board, temperature control or a wiring harness. If this is the case, I would recommend connecting with an experienced technician to determine the underlying cause. Best! - Z

HIGH TEMPERTURE MESSAGE FOR FRIDGE AND FREEZER

Hi Friend, this is Z. Thank you for your post!

Did your Electrolux refrigerator previously experience a power loss? If the temperature of food rises to an unsafe level, the buzzer will typically sound and the red light, if equipped, will also glow. Is your refrigerator beeping or did the alarm turn on? If so, first deactivate the alarm to your refrigerator by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker. Wait approximately ten minutes and then turn on your refrigerator. After deactivating the alarm and your refrigerator has run approximately four hours, the red light/alarm should go off on its own. If the red light/alarm continues to stay on, your refrigerator may possibly have a communication problem with the control board, temperature control or a wiring harness. If this is the case, I would recommend connecting with an experienced technician to determine the underlying cause. Best - Z

My refrigerator has a temperature alarm that keeps sounding every few minutes, how do I reset it the alarm?

Hi Friend, that's a great question!

The alarm of your Frigidaire refrigerator may typically be reset by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker. It is good to wait roughly ten minutes and then turn on your refrigerator. After deactivating the alarm and your refrigerator has run approximately four hours, the red light/alarm should go off on its own. If the red light/alarm continues to stay on, your refrigerator may possibly be experiencing a communication problem with the control board, temperature control or a wiring harness. If this is the case, I would recommend reaching out to a professional to proceed further. Best - Z

High temp alarm

Good Afternoon Friend,

I see that you have the High Temp alarm going off on your Frigidaire refrigerator. First, you will want to press the Alarm Off button to turn the alarm off. Next, you will want to press and hold the Factory Default button to put the temperatures at 0 degrees for the freezer and 37 degrees for the refrigerator. Wait 24 hours for the temperatures to stabilize. If you are still having trouble with the alarm going off, reset your appliance by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your homes circuit breaker for 2-3 minutes. When power is restored, you will need to press the alarm off button. If the High temp alarm is still going off, I suggest contacting your local authorized technician. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

Turning off high temp alarm

Hello Lee, thank you for allowing me to assist you. When the refrigerator is beeping or buzzing, it may be a warning sign of a possible malfunction or an unsafe, interior temperature. To silence the buzzer, you can depress the ALARM OFF button. However, if you have already done this, try unplugging the unit or flipping the household circuit breaker for about ten minutes.

If the alarm continues, it could possibly be experiencing a communication problem with the temperature control/board or wiring failure. I would recommend connecting with a professional appliance tech for a clear-cut diagnosis.

Electrolux EI26SS55GSO power failure alarm; how to disable

Hi Randy - The power failure alarm can't be complete disable, but you can try resetting it by pressing the ALARM OFF icon. Other modes may be turned off until the alarm is acknowledged. The power fail alert is turned off and the refrigerator should resume normal operation. However, if the alarm continues to go off after you have unplugged or flipped the household circuit breaker for 30 seconds contact a professional to have the main control board diagnosed.
