I just purchase the Health Blender from QVC. Love it, except that I cannot get the top off of the Travel Mug. I've tried everything short of dynamite! I tried the hint given in the manual of soaking in hot soapy water. Didn't work! My husband can't even get it off and he's no ninety-pound weakling! I hate to have to send the whole blender back to QVC as an unsatisfactory product, but I want to use the travel mug.
Any suggestions? Or can you send me a new mug?
HELP!
I had this same problem, and after several minutes of straining/making faces that terrified my wife and kids, I broke down and reached for the manual. Having finally prevailed, I offer a two-part solution:
1. Hidden in the manual is a key fact--the lid is threaded BACKWARDS. To open the lid, one must turn CLOCKWISE.
2. Considering that I had just spent several minutes making a tight lid even tighter, a special tool was called for. I have something called a "Monster Grip" that consists of a long rubber strap attached to a sturdy plastic handle. Using that tool, carefully, so as to avoid breaking the handle, I was able to open the lid, which was still quite tight through the first half-turn.
My husband and I had the same problem until I asked him to try one more time. Instead of righty tighty it's righty loosy- like the manual says. Good Luck.

I'm willing to pay up to 100$ for an efficient blender.Every year I make my own pesto sauce(I puree basil with oil and garlic). Many blenders I've had are not good at pureeing basil leaves. There are still pieces of leaves left after I puree. Pesto should be a smooth paste. Do you have any suggestions for a good blender to serve my purpose? Thank you Mrs. V. Decobellis
