Question about Vector 20 Million Power Series Spotlight

My Vector Vec157 Flashlight won't Charge...

I am unable to charge my vector flashlight, 2 million candlepower.  I plug it in to a standard outlet, two red lights and one green turn on.  After charging all night, there is no change in the light indicators, and the lamp won't work when plugged in or unplugged.
When plugged into the car charger, the lamp works, but won't charge that way.  When plugged into the wall, the two small auxiliary LED's work, but the main lamp won't work.  What's up?

same here...there is a caution label that says to consult the owner's manual to determine proper type of cord. i've tried one of the big bright orange extension cords (3 prong) and a smaller household extension cord (2 prong) and neither work!

It is the battery, I have a similiar Vector light for a few years and tried re-charging the battery but only the little LED light would come on. I have another Vector light, same model and switched batteries from the worjking one to the non-working one and now it works fine.

I then proceeded to purchase a new battery for the non'working one and when I arrived home I installed it and turned on the main light, still won't turn on, I tried the LED's, they work. I figured maybe the new battery needs a good charge so I plugged the charger in and charged the light for 12 hours, still no main light.

I guess the new battery is defective, so now I will return it and exchange it for another one.

I have a vector 1 mil candlepower sport spotlight haven't charged it in a while, and doesn't seem to want to charge.Does this mean the battery pack is bad?

Unfortunately the batteries lose their ability to charge when not used for an extended period of time. The light is very simple to dismantle by removing the black rubber ring that holds the lens on and then removing the screws. I believe the following battery may be the replacement you need.

My Vector Flash light is not working, I have tried to fix localy in Santa Barbara, but was unable, there is a place to send them to be fixed, my model is Sport Spot 3 million, thanks

Baccus just bought Vector from Black & Decker (Sept. 2010)
Looks like flashlight model # VEC 139BW but a different color. (Mine is White w/blue trim.) There is a battery in the top & one in the bottom, replace them at the same time. If I can find several battery stores in Buffalo you should be able to find a local battery store there.
Baccus- 877-571-2391 for main beam, area light no longer available. Try to find local distributor & save shipping charges.

I have vectorlite 1.5 Million Candlepower light I want to know the ac charging adapter specification. We kind of lost track of particular adapter in recent moving :(. we appreciate your help....

Most of the Vector spotlights use a class 2 charger with an output of 12VDC 400ma with a positive (+) center connector, which are very common. I have several of these chargers from different manufacturers, and I use them interchangably on whichever spotlight I happen to plug them into.
One complication with my Vectors is they use a coaxial connector plug on the spotlight end that is a size N, which is being phased out and Radio Shack doesn'd even carry any more. If you hae a box of misc chargers, find a 12VDC one with a connector that fits your 1.5MCP light, and that is probably the one that came with your light.
Note that you can also charge your light with the cigarette lighter adapter cord that came with it. So if you can't find an AC transformer that fits but you have your cigarette lighter adapter cord, you can buy one of those cigarette lighter size gadgets that plugs into an AC outlet, and then plug your cigarette lighter cord into that.

I found a Vector 3 Million in a house that I just bought. Though it is fully charged, I am unable to turn on the twin searchlights, though I am able to turn on the two sidelights. I've placed the switch on...

I went to ACE Hardware and the sales person their figured it out. After testing the bulbs, which were fine, we narrowed it down to the trigger on the cpistol grip. It turned out that there is a cover over the trigger that must be lifted before the trigger can fully engage.

Spot light is unable to recharge with the wall

While it could be the battery, it could also be the internal charger in the spotlight. When you plug it in, it bypasses the charger and uses the connected power. However, it is likely just a bad battery. The batteries only last 3 years in an ideal setting and since these lights are typically only used certain times of the year, the batteries discharge and go bad.
