How can I defeat the ink level dectection on my ESP 3250? I know there is plenty of ink left and this is a complete nusiance..

Go to printer diagnostics, check ink levels, try a deep cleaning. Make sure printer is online in the printer control panel. If this is a new printer for you, download the drivers from the manufacturers website.

If the ink cartridges and printhead are already in the printer, remove them, then reinstall them.

1. Remove the color and black ink cartridges.
2. Remove the existing printhead by lifting the latch in the center of the carriage. ESP 3, 5, 7, 9, 3250, 5250, 5210,
   ESP Office 6150, 7250, 9250;
   HERO 7.1, 9.1, OFFICE HERO 6.1 ESP 1.2, 3.2, 3.2s, C110, C310, C315,
   ESP Office 2150, 2170;
   HERO 3.1, 5.1
3. Close the printer access door.

have you checked your ink levels? even when you buy it new sometimes the ink can be dried out.

Try unplugging the printer for 1min.This will make it do a reset.
Try printhead cleaning.

For ESP 3250, 5250, 5210, Office 2150, 2170, 6150, 7250, 9250, C110, C310, and C315 printers:

1. Press Home on the printer control panel.
2. Press the down arrow button until Maintenance is selected, then press OK.
3. Press the down arrow until Clean Printhead is selected, then press OK.

DONT REFILL CARTRIDGES!!!

Most new cartridges are fitted with page count chips.

The chips blow after a certain amount of pages.

So just filling the cartridge with ink wont help

Contact Kodak. I think it's the batch of printers that were made around this time. I just contacted them (mine is the same age and I'm getting the same error), and they are sending me a new printer.

Ink level data is stored in a chip of the cartridge. Once the cartridge is empty, ink low message will appear eventhough you refill the cartridge. You need to deactivate ink level detection function to continue printing in case of usage of refill ink .

Yes sounds to me like one of your ink cartridge is empty. Replace and try again.

I fixed my ESP 3250 print problems by removing the cartridges and print head. Using a Q-tip and warm water, added drops of water to each of the print head ink wells until the water / ink from the wells bled thru onto a cleanex. Did this several times. Dryed the print head fairly well. Then added a drop of water to each cartridge for each color. Reasembled and ran an alignment and to my surprise, it works! I hadn't used my printer in a while, so the ink had dryed on the felt for both the print head and cartridges.......
