Toshiba tv what is a pairin coad

A Pairing Code is generated by the originating device which must then be typed into the second device in order to protect security of devices. Usually a xxxx 4 digit number is used. It appears on the first device when setting up the Bluetooth connect for the first time.
The Bluetooth is put in discovery mode & then creates a random Pair Code when it discovers another connectible device.
eg. You use Bluetooth headphones to Pair with your iPhone. The code is usually 0000 for simple devices.
If you want to Pair your iPhone with your Car's Radio/Amp then you go through the pairing routine to match the two devices.
But you don't want the guy next to you connecting his music into your radio so he is required to "Pair" first

Unable to pair LG GM200 bluetooth 2.0 A2DP with Plantronics Pulsar 260. Error: "Request Failed" Please help in connecting this two devices

Each pair of BT enabled phone and headset is a particular world. I don't have the Plantronics, but my LG phone pairs fine with my Lubix stereo headsets. I'll tell you how I managed to pair them: I put my headsets in pairing mode. Then, on my phone, I go to 'Connectivity > Bluetooth > Device list > Options > New'. If my bluetooth stack is off I'm prompted to turn it on. It starts to search for devices, and comes up with my BT headsets' name, I press 'Pair', it prompts me for the pairing code. I enter '0000' (the same code for your Plantronics' headsets, by the way) and Ok. Then, back to the Device list, I select the BT headsets and go to 'Options > Connect'. I'm good to go. After listening to music, I use to go again to 'Connectivity > Bluetooth > Device list', select the headsets and press 'Options > Disconnect'.
Hope it works for you.
Cheers! Carlos

What does it mean when i get password mismatched in the Bluetooth pass code?

password are for security and privacy reasons..
missmatched password while pairing bluetooth devices means you have entered incorrect pass code.
usually the the device A you are searching with asked you to create a pass code when you are pairing device B. When connection is establishing, device B will ask you for the pass code you just created for pairing device A with device B. this pass code is different for each and everytime you connect to a device.

The Hero has a rather crippled Bluetooth which is one of the reasons I'm sending mine back.

For security, when you set the phone to be discoverable it only stays that way for 90 seconds. This cannot be altered unless someone works out how to bypass it with an app but I understand from HTC that this feature is built in at the firmware level.

Look down at the devices list in the Bluetooth menu and you'll see what's paired with the phone; press menu and you'll have the option to connect.

Bluetooth on this phone cannot be used for file transfers of any kind. It's only there to enable connection of devices like headsets and external keyboards and that's about it. You can't even take a photo and Bluetooth it to another phone. There is no way around this at present.

Not connected with your question, but have you discovered the annoyingly expensive and non-alterable trick which it does when you want to send/forward long SMS messages yet?

Bluetooth passcode

When pairing two phones, you need to set up the connection on both phones. One will ask you to enter the password when you are creating the new connection, which you will then need to enter on the second phone to complete the connection. This ensures that only people you allow to connect (people you gave the code to) can connect to your device.
