When my LG is washing sometimes the FE codes comes up, what does this mean? How can I fix this issue?

FE means FILL ERROR. Usually cleaning the floats will fix this issue. Just follow the instructions from the video.

The FE error code indicates the washer is overfilling. This is usually the result of a faulty water valve.

1. Close both water taps.

2. In order to drain out any trapped water, power the washer back on and press the Spin Speed button until No Spin is selected and press the Start/Pause button.

3. Once the washer has drained, restart the wash cycle.

The FE error or fault code indicates that the washer is overfilling due to a defective water inlet valve. The valve is not repairable and will need to be replaced.

Why don't you simply find out what the FE code is alluding to? Go to web site or do a google search and then you can check for the issue further.

Thanks for using FixYa. FE is Overflow error which means that the water is overflowing and the water level frequency is over 213. When FE error is displayed the drain pump operates to drain the water automatically. To resolve this issue you’ll have to check the water inlet valve and pressure sensor which can sense the water level in the tub, if any of this goes bad overflow occurs. FE error code means water is overflowing. The water is over 8 level.When FE is displayed, the drain pump will operate to drain water automatically. Otherwise the pressure switch assembly is malfunctioning. Check and replace if necessary. Part number is 6600FA1704X.
The pressure switch assembly shuts off the water inlet valve when the desired water level is reached. It then activates the drain pump when the water inlet valve is not deactivated.

FE means overflow condition. That means sand or trash has gotten into the tube going from tub to water level switch. So find that hose and blow it out. Remove the standing water and retry.

FE is Fill Error. If door is closed and washer is plugged in, FE means water is too high and water pump will turn on.

This happens most often when a water fill valve will not shut off completely, allowing water to continue to fill washer, sometimes very slowly. If you shut off one valve (where the hose comes from the household plumbing) at a time you may be able to tell which valve is the culprit. The hot is a single coil valve, the cold is a multi coil valve. Both are the part where the hoses connect onto the machine.
To access valves, remove 3 phillips head screws at the back of the washer holding the top cover in place. Slide the top back about two inches and lift it off.
