Did you turned aux function?

turn off your player by pressing and holding volume controler.
press and hold longer (~5 sec) it again to turn it on (you should see 'tuner' in the lcd).
push up arrow to select aux and right/left to turn it on.

now you can connect your ipod and select aux (as ussual switching between tuner/cd player/aux)

cheers :)

I had the same problem with my Pioneer DEH-30MP I took it out of my one car and put into new car and the AUX would no longer work and you couldn't access the AUX menu as per the user manual.
To switch the AUX input on, switch the ignition on, switch the head unit off by pressing and holding the source button. Press and hold the source button for at least 5 seconds. Tuner will then come up on the display. Press the function button until AUX - OFF appears on display then use the arrow keys to select ON, press the source button to come out of the menu.
Then your done! just press the source button to change from Tuner to CD to AUX.

Does using an ipod/AUX adapter through the CD changer input stop a real CD from working?

you have to change it from the Aux setting to CD when you want to play cd, some cd players switch to aux. automatically when you plug inthe aux. cable. and may have to be unplugged when playing cd.

I Can't seem to find the aux function on my Kenwood 50wx4 radio, any help please? I'm trying to hook up my ipod!

Most times you will have to put the radio into stand by mode, then go into the setup menu. There should be an option in the menu to turn the AUX to ON.

there is no direct input on this until. although you can purchase the aux input cable from the link i have posted which will allow you to plug in rca's into the rear. after purchasing2.gif this cable, you will have to turn on the aux option in the menu. which you may want to make sure that you can do beffore you order it.

1.with the power on, hold the source button until the until turns off
2. hold the audio button until a menu is opened. (hold function if audio doesn't work)
3. scroll through until you find the aux option and turn it on.
4. turn on the radio2.gif and scroll through the sources and make sure it is there.
5. buy cable and headphone to rca cable2.gif

or you can order the direct ipod adapter made by pioneer, which will let you control the ipod directly from the head unit itself. whichever you prefer http://www.google.com/products/catalog?hl=en&source=hp&q=pioneer+ipod&um=1&ie=UTF-8&cid=9877805020289826524&ei=_vPKSpzyKYe4NrzrpPMH&sa=X&oi=product_catalog_result&ct=result&resnum=1#ps-sellers

There is a auxiliary button on the sony cdx-m8800. Is there a way to hook up an IPOD? The stereo also has MP3 written on the inside face. Thanks

Contrary to the below Expert's testimony, the UK CDX-M880 has a REAR AUX connector that will enable you to play your iPod through your car's stereo.

You will not be able to control the ipod's interface through the radio. You will have to use the control on the iPod .

You require a Male 3.5mm extension cable like the following...

a5e60c6.jpg A 4-6 foot length is recommended, as the cable will need to be routed from behind the radio to a place your iPod can be easily manipulated.

Thanks for using FixYa - a 4 THUMBS rating is appreciated for answering your FREE question.

I have a CDE-9872 and it wont pick up my ipod touch

Add Alpine's optional "Full Speed" connection cable and you'll be able to use the CDE-9872 to control your iPod. -Crutchfields website

This is compatible with first and second generation iPods touch.
fyi- if you have a mini-stereo aux in jack on the deck you can connect a ipod touch compatible mini stereo cable to the earphone jack of your ipod.

The ipod is supplied with a USB out cable and the head unit is USB compatible. It has a USB out.Connect the ipod "out "cable to the USB of the HU and switch over to USB mode on head unit. Switch on the ipod & play . As for erahs problem ,these pioneer head units have "switchable"AUX modes. with the power "off"(the HU power off)press the multicontrol at the centre for 3/4 seconds.options like "language etc will b displayed .AUX will be one of the options .select it ":on".now u can play your ipod through your head unit .

How do I turn on the "external aux" for my pioneer DEH-p7000r

You'll need an adapter cable such as this one:
http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?search=ip+bus&i=469PIOPRCA

The adapter cable will convert the changer port on your head unit into an AUX input with dual RCA jacks. Once connected, the head unit will detect the cable and allow it to be another source (i.e. radio, cd, aux).

To connect your iPod to the adapter cable, use any iPod cable or dock that outputs to male RCA plugs.
