Try sending more then one fax to different recipients, otherwise it is not clear if the problem is specific to sending to one machine, or all fax machines. You also should post the type of fax modem you are using, if you are using a VoIP (Internet) telephone line, and the current settings in WinFax under Tools, Program Setup, Modems & Communications Devices. http://www.getfaxing.com/forums
The internet connection that you use doesn't matter with WinFax, since WinFax requires a fax modem to send and receive faxes. You cannotuse your broadband modem to send receive faxes with WinFax PRO. http://www.getfaxing.com/forums
Problems receiving could be any number of problems. The first item I would check it to make sure no other devices are on the same line as the fax modem, such as a fax machine. This can cause a problem for a fax modem to receive faxes when another line is being picked up and listened to at the same time. http://www.getfaxing.com/forums
configure your fax to answer later (maybe after ringing 10 times) and configure the winfax to answer before (something like ringing 5 times or less)
the problem here is that the fax answer and start receiving the fax and the winfax receive the fax signal at same time. check the winfax maybe you have the half part that the fax modem not has printed stored in winfax, maybe.
as I said, your better choice is removing the fax modem. even configuring like I said before, maybe the two continue to try to receive the fax at same time.
