Question about Linksys Wireless-G WRTP54G Router
When you are inserting the clip in the reset hole do you unplug the power before you insert the clip or you can just insert while the system is still pluged to the power?
It is not necessary to unplug, but it must be powered off. Basic steps then would be:

insert the tip of a pen or a paper clip into the 'reset' hole, push the button for 5 seconds or more, make sure the power is on for the router. For confirmation of resetting the router to default settings, you should be able to see all of the router's LED flashes or blinks, on certain models the router would restart itself.
When you're done, access the router with the default username and password as stated in your user manual.
