Problem for BellSouth (GH5816) Cordless Phone
Bellsouth model MH9918
Just picked this up at a garage sale. After charging worked for a while. Now, if "talk" is pressed, pushing the numbers does not work and it beeps 3 times. Cannot read all of the error display because some of the letters do not show up.
Will buying a new battery fix the problem or should it just be pitched.

Well buying a new battery would be chancy so i would suggest just dump the unit. There is no other way to fix that unit except opening it up. Now depending on how much the battery is you have to guage whether or not its worth it if you change the battery and have it not work.
