M-error means mechanical error, it is caused by faulty gear and lever assemblies under the cd loading carousel . it is very hard to get to those so i do not recommend this repair to be attempted by non-technicians. i fixed lots of them, it was the most common problem in those units

No disc error dvd

You need to try cleaning the lens of the player. If that doesn't correct it you might have lens damage.

Hi,
It sounds like you haven't followed the last step to the burning procedure. All you need to do once you've completed burning your disc is to Finalize the disc. Read below why you need to finalize as well as the steps to follow in order to finalize the disc.
Hope this helps ;)
How to Finalize Finalizing is writing the TOC (table of contents) on a disc so a CD player can recognize the number of tracks, the total time for each track, and their location on the disc. A recorded disc must be finalized to playback on a standard CD player. Once finalized a CD-R disc can be played on CD players that support CD-R playback. CD-RW discs can only be played on CD players that support CD-RW playback. Consult your CD player owner's manual to confirm supported formats. Finalizing is necessary to: • be able to play a recorded CD-R or CD-RW disc on a CD player • prevent further recording on a disc • avoid erasing tracks on a CD-RW disc • record text information onto a disc you record Notes: • A finalized CD-R disc can never be recorded onto again. • A finalized CD-RW disc can be unfinalized for more recording. • The CDR300 can play back unfinalized CD-R or CD-RW discs. • SYNC REC+FINAL mode automatically finalizes.
Here are the steps in order to Finalize your disk
1 Push Stop. The display shows the number of tracks and their total playing time. 2 Push FINALIZE. FINALIZE is displayed for about 3 seconds.

When i insert disc ERROR is displayed, tried 3 discs same display there is nothing in the manual that discribes this error,i put the first disc in and it started playing then suddenly stopped and error was...

The Disc Players optics are either dirty and need cleaned, or the optics are out of align and need replaced/repaired, depending on the make and model. If you have a DVD Player cleaner, one that uses fluid, run it thru a few times and try again. If you do not have one, most convenience stores carry them now and will clean all CD/DVD/Home/Auto models, and is a good investment! Just make sure you get a cleaner that uses fluid. Hope this helps!

CD player won't work

Firstly is it burnt or factory cd? Most factory cd players won't play a burnt disk.
If you have a store-made cd and it is not reading that, then the lens inside the player is dirty and needs to be blown out with a can of "airduster"

Im getting a display message on my cd player saying no disc, but there are discs actually in there.it will pick the disc up but it will not play any of my discs.could you please help.

Try using a lens cleaning disc and see if that helps, if not, it will need service by a professional. The most common reason for that error is a bad laser pick up in most cd players. You never gave the model number or who makes your cd player so there is not much more that can be offered.

Fisher stereo that has no display and the cd player keeps flashing a M-Error

If this is a multi-disc cd player with a carosel that holds lots of disc's the problem with the cd player is a clutch gear that is very difficult to replace unless you have some experience at changing it.

If you think you can replace the gear reply back and I will give you the part number for the clutch gear.

I would need the model number of the unit to be sure it is the same problem I am so familiar with. It would be very dificult to explain thru text messages how to replace this gear, the entire cd mechinism must be taken apart.

The display problem is probably a lamp that is burned out or the voltage supply to the lamp has a defective part.

Once again I would need the model number of the unit to give you any further details.

A repair center could fix this for around $100 to $150 depending on their rates.

If you have no experience repairing electronics it is advisable that you do not attempt this yourself, you could cause more damage to the unit and the repair would cost even more money.

Please let me know if I can be of any further help.

Cd player does not work

unplug it, unscrew the screws holding the cover on, you should be able to see the lazer lens where the disks go, now take a q-tip with rubbing alcohol on it and gently rub the lens in one direction to remove any dust. cd players are very picky about dust and even just a little can give you a no disc error. ive had to do it to many cd players, so this should work for you! good luck

PACKARD BELL CD/RADIO/MP3 PLAYER. MODEL PB OP 10

This is not for connecting an MP3 player, but rather for playing MP3-CD's. Using your computer and a CD burner, you can burn a CD with up to about ten hours worth of MP3s on it. The procedure for creating the disc varies depending on your burning software. In Nero, for example, you would select "Music" and then "MP3 Disc" and then select the songs you want to put on the disc. For other software you just select "burn a data disc" and then select the MP3 files you want.

Once you have a CD full of MP3s, put it in the Packard-Bell stereo's CD player, and you will be able to play all the MP3 files that are on the CD. THe advantage, of course, is being able to put ten hours on one CD instead of only 80 minutes.
