How do i replace a keyboard on a pavilon 9700 laptop

Hi there
This is quite easy but you need to take your time. HP wont issue manuals easily but you may be able to get one from here http://www.9manuals.com/?gclid=CJLk1JSO06UCFQJO4QodgQOIkw This will show you how to do it. Failing that look here http://www.insidemylaptop.com/remove-hard-drive-memory-wireless-card-keyboard-hp-pavilion-dv9000/ You don't need all of this, please scroll down until you see KEYBOARD REMOVAL INSTRUCTIONS
All the best now, take your time and lock yourself away so you are not interupted.

Hp pavillion dv9000 lcd screen changes colour when moved

The inverter is to change the volts from the laptop to the Backlight. This wont have anything to do with it.
Im more than certian it will be the LCD cable. Proberly loose or torn at where the lid closes.
Hope this helps.

After crshing my computer I sent it to be fixed. however when I got it back the copmuter no longer recognized it was a hp pavilion 1610n. Then the computer crashed again I tried to run the recovery discs...

You have to call the company that did the repair or HP, what they forgot to do is put the asset tag back in. which tells the cd what kind of computer you have

How to install xp on hp pavilion dv9000 laptop

Load your XP cd and restart the computer. You will be asked if you want to install XP and if you already have an operating system you will have to delete the existing partition(s) or create a new partition. The instructions are displayed on the screen so just follow the prompts. Steve Medley

I believe the bios on my hp pavilion dv9000 is having problems. the problem i have is that the time and date are always wrong. is there any way i can fix this myself?

Hi Rmellon,

I understand that your PC time and dates keeps changing. I suspect the issue is due to the CMOS battery. I suggest you to change the battery. It will not cost you much. I have included the link which clearly shows a video on how to change the real-time clock battery. Please getin touch with me if you need clarification. It is specific to your dv9000 model.

Steps for Removing and Replacing the Real-Time Clock Battery:-

I am pretty sure it is due to the CMOS. Let me know whether it fixes your issue. If you don't wish to do the above you could also try the following

Let me knwo the response you get.

Thanks & Regards
Rajesh

My hp pavilion dv9000 notebook is lock do u know the unlock code for it?

Hi errol245,

When you say it's 'locked' do you mean you can't access the BIOS (System Setup) information when the computer first boots, or are you unable to get into Windows?
