SOURCE: Canon L100 fax machine

Just flip the little key cover open on the right hand side of the machine then press "Data Registration" then press "Set" then press "Set" again this will put you on time & date setting if you press "Set" a third time you can now change the settings using the arrows to step around and the numbers to change the settings. Just press "Set" when finished to save your setting & press "Stop" to exit programming mode.

SOURCE: error code e100 on canon laser fax L100

E100 means that you have laser trouble, probably laser pcb is bad. Replace it.
But also check the laser shutter.

Canon faxphone L100 I am receiving faxes, but I have been unsuccessful in all my attempts to SEND a fax. I either get #018 Busy/No Signal or "Stop" error message. I have a dial tone.

The #018 code indicates a problem connecting to the receiving fax machine.
That phone line maybe busy or disconnected. It can indicate that the receiving machine didn't answer and provide the expected fax tones within 35 seconds. The settings for your fax machine may be incompatible with the receiving fax machines settings. The L100 Fax Phone is compatible with G3 fax machines. (The communication issue between compatible machines means that they do not successfully handshake before the fax can be sent. It's like one machine is speaking Greek and the other Mandarin Chinese.) Check with the person to whom you are sending the fax and make sure that they aren't having telephone issues. Ask if the fax machine is ready to receive the fax. Also check that the two fax machines are compatible with each other.

If you are sending the fax to someone in a different country, you need to add a pause between the country code and the fax number. The Fax Phone needs a pause here to ensure proper dialing.

I hope this helps. You can get some information on fax problems from the Canon Knowledge Base, https://support.usa.canon.com/kb/index?page=content&id=ART152562&cat=5258B001&actp=LIST&showDraft=false and the Fax Machine Basic User Manual. The current link to the manual is https://gdlp01.c-wss.com/gds/8/0300007218/04/FAXPHONEL100_BASIC_usEN_3.pdf . See page 79 for information on the #018 code.

What is the error e225-002 on a faxphone L100 ?

Can't find exactly the error, but e225 indicates in internal error...unfortunately the 002 indicates exactly where the error is occurring and can't find that indicated anywhere.

Found a few suggestions that a firmware update can fix a number of e225 errors. Firmware can be download directly from the Canon website here.
Canon Support Drivers FAXPHONE L100

Failing that, Canon's direct support number is 800-652-2666

Hope that helps in some way, and good luck!
