You will have to go into the router and allow the device to connect to the network.
2. check your users manual to accomplish this.
3. Or go to the "helps" in the router helps file.

Having problems with wireless connection to printer. Should I reset router, if so how?

Hi Are you using Windows?
Did you manually create the connections to the printer or use supplied software?
Do you have admin access to the router?
If the router has been configured correctly, just switch it off wait 10 secs then switch it back on to reset it.

Connecting a Linksys WRT54GL. no internet connection detected

The ISP modem connects to the main LAN port on the router. The PC connects to any other port. Done. You should have internet via wire at this point.

I need to unlock my router

Do laptops pick up the wireless signal and connect to your router? If not maybe you don't have the router configured for wireless.

If other devices such as laptops pick up the wireless router signal then there is no need to go into the router changing things because if you do, the things that work now, might not work.

Can your ipad see the wireless router (SSID) as one of the networks within range? If so, maybe you put the password in wrong. The password is case sensitive (caps and small letters must be exact or it will never connect).

The connection cannot detect the wireless

Your computer/laptop needs the encryption key that is in the router's wireless settings before it can connect to the wireless router..
To connect to your wireless router, the router's wireless settings needs to be configured with the SSID, encryption etc. and also the wireless cards in all the laptops/computers needs to be configured with these router's wireless settings. Then the laptops/desktop computers can communicate with your wireless router.
Connect a LAN cable from the Linksys to the LAN port on your computer.
Open a browser and enter the Linksys configuration URL
http://192.168.1.1
The default login = admin
The default PW = admin
You can protect your router by changing the default PW (write it down and put it in a safe place)
Go to the wireless configuration and set up the SSID and WPA or WPA2 encryption.
Apply these settings to the wireless card in your laptop/computer.
Connect your DSL or cable modem to the D-Link router.

No website through a limksys router

Are you trying to connect via wireless or wired?

Could be an IP conflict between your modem and router. Although rare, it does happen. Change the
setting in the router to something different. Default address for Linksys is192.168.1.1 - try changing it
to 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.2

Internet connection

Connect a computer to one of the lan ports 1-4.
Connect the adsl modem to "internet" or "wan" port of hub.
Open the hub's configuration page in your browser, usually this is http://192.168.1.1 Under Setup->Basic Setup, set the configuration for "Internet Connection Type " to "Automatic Configuration - DHCP". Under Network Setup, enable the hub's internal DHCP server so your lan hosts can get their ip's from the hub. Each local computer should have DHCP enabled. Your adsl modem must support DHCP for this to work, some do not. If it still doesnt work, try setting "PPPoE" instead of DHCP.
