I own a Aiwa NSX DS50 Home Theater Audio System. It hasn't worked for some time now. As soon as i turn the system on it shuts off completely. About ten seconds after turning off the red light next to the power button comes back on. You and try to turn it back on but does the same thing cuts off then red light shuts back on. could it be some type of power supply problem or maybe a fuse shorting it out if so would there be any replacement parts available.

Generally speaking, an amp attempts to protect itself from heat, shorts, overloads and operator exuberance by refusing to turn on or stay on.

Overloads can be from excessive periods of high output or marginally low impedance loading by the speakers; and shorts would be wiring issues or a speaker blowing up.

You should be able to feel if it's hot. WHY is it overheating? Make sure it has sufficient ventilation on all sides and that vent holes are not blocked by dust balls. Ensure the fan (if equipped) is running as designed (some only operate on demand). Clean dust and debris from it.

If the amp comes back on after cooling, you're lucky. They only have so many self-protection cycles in their lives so continuously resetting or cycling their power without addressing the cause can do more harm than good.

If it protects immediately on a cool power up you should disconnect the speaker connections and try it 'naked'. If it comes up then diagnose which lead(s) are shorted. If it does not come up the problem is internal and should be left to an experienced and competent hands-on tech.

Where can i get a owners manual for an AIWA home stereo system model number cx-nma845?

ManualsLib has the manual here: https://www.manualslib.com/products/Aiwa-Cx-Nma845-5886493.html . SearsPartsDirect also has the manual here: https://www.searspartsdirect.com/manual/1m0bt3vgnd-001547/aiwa-nsx-ma845-compact-stereo-system-parts . Note: the system model number is NSX-MA845; this includes the front, center and surround speakers. The CD stereo cassette receiver is CX-NMA845.

I hope this helps.

NSX-AJ310 power problems

That's nothing strange!! Mine does the very same thing. It's normal, the system's way of powering up, unless when you turn on the power, clicking noise intensifies....., if that's the case, give me a reply.

How can I play my ipod on an Aiwa NSX-AJ310?

Simple!!! All you need is an 3.5mm to RCA cable, they're reasonably cheap.

Connect the RCA cable to the auxilliary inputs located to the back of your system.

Insert the 3.5mm jack into the headphone compartment of your ipod.

Turn on your system and then set the function to VIDEO/AUX. It'll be advisable to lower your volume, so that you may not cause any damage to your speakers!!

Play your ipod, make sure that all the volume is up.

Now, gradually turn up the volume on your AIWA system, and the music is supposed to be playing through your system. If not, refer to your manuals.

Hope this helps!!

My Compact Disc Stereo System NSX-AJ50 is tripping off every time I turn it on. Henry [email protected] Thanks.

One or more of the output transistors has failed or you have a bad speaker. Try disconnecting both speakers and turning on the unit. If it still shuts down, then the transistors are likely to be defective. These can be replaced for about $15-$25 plus labor at any service shop that handles audio gear.

It would be a lot quicker (and could be cheaper) to spring for a universal remote.
