Does anyone know how to assemble the tension spring and put the deck back on a lx277 tractor

The deck manual for the lx277 is available from JD, no fee no registration.

Go to

https://techpubs.deere.com/en-US/Search/Equipment

Enter lx277 in the model field.

Select attachments and find publication OMM115986.

Select download arrow.

There are two springs. One goes to a welded hook towards the front if the deck. If the hook has worn through there is an alternate hook available from JD that requires no welding.

Have a JD LT166W/48 and need a mower deck belt

Do you mean the John Deere LT166 Lawn Tractor with 48" Convertible Deck mower. If so, the replacement belt is GX10063, according to the maintenance sheet: https://jdparts.deere.com/partsmkt/document/english/featbene/fb_MaintSheet_LT166_48CdeckLawnTractor.pdf . One vendor has the belt here: http://www.greenpartstore.com/John-Deere-Drive-Belt-GX10063.html .

I hope this helps. If you have a different mower deck, please add a comment with more information about your specific mower. I may be able to find additional JD parts for the machine. You can also look up parts here: http://jdpc.deere.com/jdpc/servlet/com.deere.u90490.partscatalog.view.servlets.HomePageServlet_Alt .

How to level the mowing deck on 2002 John Deere (Scotts) 42 " mower. Mower deck drags on right side. Mower height adjuster doesnt work seems jammed.

Have a look underneath while someone operates the height adjustment. There's probably a link arm come off which does deck height. Go to google images for this machine, type height adjustment and look at the pictures if you don't have a handbook. Google JD handbooks and see if you can find a free download.

I need a belt diagram for secondary belt on a john deere f525 with a 48 inch deck

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly

By secondary belt I am assuming you need the deck belt routing. Here is a picture of the front deck belt routing: http://opebycrigby.tripod.com/decks/jd/jdf525.jpg

Thanks for choosing FixYa,

Replaced Mower Deck Drive Belt. Belt runs from Engine pulley to Mower deck Pulley. Purchased new belt rom JD dealer. Belt is slack, Is there suppodes to be a tensioner for this belt.

Yes, there is an idler arm with a pulley that presses either inward or outward against the belt to tension it. In some JD mowers, the arm is tensioned by pulling on a long metal rod that latches near the edge of the mower deck, but without the model number I can't be more precise about that. Just look for that extra pulley and arm it's mounted on -- you'll see a tension spring, and you should also see a way to pull the arm away from the spring to place it under tension. Good luck!
