No picture but have sound

Tv has sound but no picture. When changing channels the channels that do not come in are blue. I can still see blue on them. When changing the channel you can see the green numbers change in the left corner. The numbers are green and red now . Like having double vision.

Good Day; This model is equipped with a self-diagnosis feature to help with diagnosis of shutdown problems. To activate this turn the unit on let it shutdown then press the input and menu buttons on the front panel simultaneously and hold them in for 5 seconds after 5 seconds the power LED on the front panel will blink a two digit sequence. This will be one set of blinks a short pause then another set of blinks, this will repeat 5 times. 1 - 2 = no error detected 2 - 1 = X-ray protect (high voltage or beam current) 2 - 2 = Short protect (short protect monitors low voltage supplies) 2 - 3 = Deflection protect (this could be loss of vertical or horizontal deflection) 2 - 4 = Vertical protect (usually loss of vertical from the source) 1. SHUTDOWN AT POWER WITH SELF DIAGNOSIS ERROR 2 2. CHECK FOR LEAKY C9A60 470 PF 1000 V PART # 154P400030, PARALLEL TO D9A57 ON THE POWER PCB (NOT SHOWN IN THE SCHEMATIC). 2. SHUTDOWN AT POWER WITH SELF DIAGNOSIS ERROR 2 2. CHECK FOR OPEN FUSES F9A04 AND F9A05 PART # 283P043090 ON THE +24 AND -24 VOLT LINES. IF THE FUSES ARE OPEN THE CONVERGENCE OUTPUT CIRCUIT WOULD BE SUSPECT. 3. SELF-DIAGNOSIS INDICATES SHORT PROTECT. CHECK FOR A SHORTED IC4B01 PART # 270P261020 (VERTICAL OUTPUT) LOADING 24-VOLT SUPPLY LINE. LOCATED ON THE MAIN PCB. Also look for CRT coolant(fluid on the boards. Good Luck, big IRISH.

TV turned off itself

Can you still turn it on?
If so, does it stay on with sound?

If the sound is ok and the picture is blue (even when changing channels, inputs, etc.) the lamp may have gone out.

My shop had this problem yesterday. We had to change the DMD to correct it. One of the data lines was being drawn down intermitently. This doesn't eliminate the digital PCB, but, we have seen the DMD do this more than a digital. You should have an authorized shop do the repair. Contact Samsung at 1-800-SAMSUNG or contact by email: http://samsung.com/ContactUs/ContactUs.htm Hope this helps.

Multiple problems, hoping for one solution

sounds like it is probably worth trying to degauss check this excellent site; http://woil.ws/fixmonitor/ for details of how to try this on the cheap - it works If it doesnt solve your problem, the fact that you are getting different quality from different crt s suggests that they could be the root cause - see if you can get the part number, and get a price you may find it is cheap enough to be worth trying - check also the power supply - poor voltage output can sometimes cause these type of symptoms. Hope this helps, if not post again - some of the other guys know tvs much better than me :)
