You can use any oil that is JASO MA certified motorcycle oil. 10w-40 for cold climate/year round. 20w-50 for warm climate/touring. Automotive oils use different additives and may cause scoring in certain types of cam bearings. Do not use any oil that says " Energy Conserving " on the label . It will shorten the life of your wet clutch and transmission gears. If you choose Synthetic oils, they will help your bike run cooler and shift easier. Shell Rotella T ($12 a gallon) and Rotella T Synthetic 15w-40 ($22 a gallon) are inexpensive JASO MA oils. In most Yamaha street bikes you will need between 3 and 4 quarts of oil, an aluminum drain plug washer, and a filter. Pour in 3 quarts , run the motor, and check the oil level . Top up as needed.

What kind of oil in a22 ton briggs & stratton motor

BRIGGS & STRATTON ENGINES:
For temperatures above 40? F use an SAE30W oil. Using multigrade oil may increase oil consumption. Using SAE 30W oil below 40? F will result in hard starting and possible engine
bore damage. For temperatures below 40 ? F use
an SAE10W-30 or SAE5W-30 oil. Oil capacity for the 6 H.P. engine is approximately 5/8 quart (20 ounces; 0.6 liter).
Refer to Briggs & Stratton engine owner's manual for additional
information.

I need to change my car engine oil what you

Hi,
10w-40 is a good oil.
If your Mercedes has a lot of wear on the engine 15w-40 will stay in a while longer.
Enjoy,

What kind/ type of oil do I use?

If you are in a cold climate area....use 10W-30/10W-40/10W-50.

If you are in an area that doesn't get below freezing often (32F) use 20W-40.

If you are in a climate that is hot often...use 5W-30.

An easy choice?.......10W-30.

What kind of oil 5-40or 10-40 or other for 1999 ml 320

The manufacturer's recommendations are usually posted under hood or on the drivers side door by the latch. 10-40 is pretty thin and I would bet that 5-30 or 5-40 would work best.
