Re: Panaconic VDR D100
Im sure that your mini dvd will be readable with your dvd rom. if its not then try to use your mini dvd with your camcorder and use usb wire to connect it to your pc. install the cd driver came with your camcorder. use ulead movie maker to detect the camcorder and edit it to that. save it with any various types of videos that you like burn it with nero burner as a dvd disc.now you can watch it to your dvd player. hope that helps!

You can try data recovery software such as CDroller or "Bad CD DVD repair" Or send it off to a mini dvd recovery company such as www.minidvdrepair.com I used them in the past with great results. I believe I paid around $100
Well if you cannot remove DVd to your PC then your going to have transfer the movie by cable, this is mostly by a USB or Firewire cable. Software will be needed, but Windows Vista and others have that built-in anyway these days.
hello..if your camera comes with a dv output ,you'll need a lead to with either a firewire or usb connection.any pc shop would help you .if you need any further help drop me a line here..farr64 [colin]
Just to clarify - when you say try to finalize the disc on the DVD recorder, do you mean the DVD camcorder i.e. the VDR D100? if not and you mean an actual DVD recorder then this is where your problem lies, as the disc can only be finalized in the VDR D100 unit itself. this could be the reason behind the poor quality when you watch the clip using windows media player.
If i've got the above wrong, and you were talking about finalization problems on the unit itself all along then the following might help: how full is the disc you are finalizing? if it is pretty full then delete one or two unwanted clips and try finalizing again (this worked for me when i had this problem).
if the disc is not really full then it gets trickier. let me know if it works
i have recored the sveral movie on the DVD-R disc using Panasonic VDR-D160 and then i take the DVD-R disc with me to leave for another country (the Panasonic VDR-D160 left at home) and now i can not read the moviesrecored on the DVD-R disc !!!
