I have a Brivis buffalo 26 unit...the heating is on but it's blowing cold air the pilot doesn't seem to be light but I don't know how to relight it!

Try adjusting your thermostat, contact point possibly melt and welded by electric sparks. Replace thermostat control if contact won't get open.

Once I press the button to start the heater must wait a good 30 seconds or more before it stays lit when button is released.

That's normal. It's the correct way to allow the the Thermocouple and/or Thermopile to fully heat up.
If you have been turning the pilot light OFF after each use and then relighting it when you want to use the heater, that's really not necessary. Leaving the pilot lit during the heating season is a better way to go. If you think you're saying gas by turning the pilot light OFF and then relighting it again, when you want heat, you're really not saving a significant amount of gas or money. The pilot burning continuously, uses very little gas.

Hope this helped you. Please let me know. Thanks

Hi there i recently had another gas appliance installed and the gas was turned off while this work was done, so my hot water service pilot light went out. the guys who did this work didn't relight the...

First turn the dial on the hot water heater to the off position and wait for 5 minutes. Then turn the dial on the water heater to the pilot position. Press in the dial and use a gas grill lighter, long wooden match, or similar device to light the pilot. Once the pilot is lit, continue to hold in the dial for about 1 minute then release and turn the dial to the temperature setting that's comfortable for you.

We have a Rinnai 2000D heater. The pilot light goes out and is then difficult or impossible to restart. The igniter is working and there is the smell of gas, just doesnt seem to be enough gas there to...

you can try cleaning the pilot light with sand paper, (where the hole in the end is where the gas comes out) they get carbon built up over time and causes the hole to get smaller which makes the pilot light not want to stay light because of the small amount of gas coming out.

We have Rinnai 18 instant hot water service. We have no hot water. Pilot light appears to have gone out. When I turn on hot water tap the temperature on key pad flashes at 19 degrees instead of 55

We have the same problem! It's happened twice this week after heavy rain. There is no error code "19"listed in the manual. Ours is a Rinnai Infinity 24 hot water service. I called Rinnai and they had no idea and were going to send a serviceman when it suddenly righted itself. Now it's recurred. Wife and daughters furious. Please help!

Relighting the pilot for a rudd heating and air

I dont know of any manufactor that makes a stand alone pilot anymore. (pilot you have to lite). The pilot should lite itself when you turn on the heat.
