Hi..ur motorola v3i is defaulted with 7 to 10 hrs of battery life only...o save more power...

  • Keep the brightness on the screen to a minimum. You can also adjust how long the backlight stays on without input from the user.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth when not in use. Bluetooth is a big battery draw.
  • Disable incoming beams so that the phone isn't constantly "searching" for infrared partners.
  • Completely close non-essential programs. When you run an application, it does not shut down completely when you "close" it. It is simply minimized. Go into the Settings to completely shut down any programs you are no longer using

  • also u cud get a car charger so that u cud be sure not to run out of juice..
    Thanks for using Fixya

Hello there. You may need to replace your battery pack, as leaving it charged for over 4 hours can lead to "overcharging" a condition which can dramatically shorten your battery packs lifespan and charge retention.
Also, be sure to charge your console while the device is turned off. Although you may charge it while it is powered on, it will take longer.
As stated, be sure not to leave the system on charge for more than 5-6 hours, as this can damage the battery and is liable to cause battery leakage, burning, or overheating.

Battery life is largely dependent on the game being played - some games can give you up to 10 hours of battery life, though the real-world estimate is really more like 5-7 hours of constant use before you'll need to recharge.

I hope this helps you. -

My battery once fully charged only seems to hold for sometimes a few hours and other times as normal for a week +. Will buying a new battery solve the problem or is it possibly something more sinister? I...

well the weather might have very little to do with this unless you expose your phone to the harsh atmosphere.
it is most likely that your battery has exceeded it's estimated lifespan or is probably damaged. this causes it to loose charge quickly and as such it cannot power the phone properly for a very long time.
the best advice is for you too get a new original battery as there are fakes flooding the markets right now and buying a fake may only worsen the situation.
when you buy a new one, it is advised you charge it fully for about 3 hours before turning on the phone.

    Moto razer software problem

You should check the battery, if the phone says the battery is fully charged and it still shuts off,you will need to send the phone to motorola and have them repair it

Below is the service page for motorola, you can check to see if the phone is under warranty and then send the phone in. If it is not under warranty, check to see what is the cost to ship, and what they would charge to repair it, then look on ebay for new phone and see which is the best way to go,repair or buy new.

    Invalid battery

Pull out the battery *while the phone is on*. Wait 15 secs then put battery back in and turn phone on. That should fix it.
