I have lost the manual to the outdoor craftsman 315 garage door opener located on the outside of the garage door. I know the current code but want to change it. How do I change it? How do I do a 1 time change? What other types of changes can i make for example if I am having someone work on my house and need code changed for a few days? I remember reading these in the book but dont remember the exact steps... ie difference between using the # and * buttons. Any help would be appreciated. A pdf guide would be even better.
Thanks,
John Ensey

Check for some obstacle in the path of the light beam sensor that (should) be installed across the width of the door opening about 3-4 inches off the ground.
The conversion kit you purchased from Sears will work with any door opener and has the latest security feature but the bad news is your keypad will not work with it. If you want a keypad you must make sure it is 315 mhz and Security +. It would be Sears latest model.
There is a "learn" button on the garage door opener unit itself that you press before entering a code on the outside transmitter. This allows the receiver to learn a new code. The button is on the rear end of the housing near the terminals where the inside operation pushbutton connects.
