There is a much easier way to solve this problem. get a reem of paper and put it in the machine.
next turn the power off hold down the left and right Print Position arrows and power up the machine.
when it boots it will show u a number. at this point you can let go of the arrows.
press the yellow clear button 1 time and the machine should show all zeros on the display.
enter the code 80 and press start. the machine will make a master. after that it will show you 80 again.
press the c button at the bottem of the keypad and it should show 0000 again.enter 888 and press start and set the print speed to the slowest speed possible. (if it keeps jamming try pressing stop and repeating above steps but with code 81)
this is the ink drainage mode it will keep printing until you press the stop key.when the image starts getting light press the stop key and turn the machine off and then on again. and the code should be gone!

Riso rz 390

There should be a built in head cleaner. I think you can access it through the control panel, then device and printers. right click on the printer with the issue, scroll down to printer properties. there should be a box that says "print test page" when the test page prints it should ask you if it is ok, this is where the clean head should be.

My Brother HL 4040cn printer is leaking toner, black and yellow. It leaves spatter spots of these colors on printed pages. The machine does not have any messages. Do you know what this may be from or how...

If you've taken the printer apart and cleaned the belt unit and everywhere else in the paper's path, then it is probably either a bad toner cartridge or the drum. Since it's multiple colors producing splatter, its most likely the drum unit. Try taking the drum out and removing all of the toner cartridges and then clean the drums and corona wires. If its still producing splatter afterward, you've got yourself a bad drum.

If i take copies only black paper is coming and error shows as 302

You have some sort of a problem with the drum unit (PCU) in your copier. You don't specify a brand or model, but the code resembles that of a machine from the Ricoh brand line (including Lanier, Gestetner, and Savin) If this is the case, then this info pertains to your question, though may not be exact, as not all models within a brand range are laid out the same.

Below is what the service manual states, taken from a typical small to mid-sized unit:

SC302: Charge roller current leak
-> A charge roller current leak signal was detected.

Possible Problems:
• Charge roller damaged
• High voltage supply board defective
• PCU harness defective or disconnected

While this may not pertain to your model, I have seen this code occur if a securing screw for the cleaning blade in the PCU loosens and falls out of place. I've also seen on larger models (35 to 45 ppm) where the charge roller mounting arms are not making good contact with the metal tabs inside the PCU.

Error Code -534 on my Riso RZ 390. Drum is stuck in machine and won't release.

D04-534 means incorrect ink cartridge set. This could be caused either a) it IS the incorrect ink cartridge, or b) the RF tag that is struck to the end of the ink bottle is damaged. Try a new ink bottle.
Make sure to use RISO ink designed and made specific for an RZ230.
