Question about Sewing Machines
My blindstitch machine missed the thread loop very often. It is very noisy compared to when I first got the machine 10 years ago. How do I know if it is out of timing and how to correct it? Any repair book or source of help I can rely on.
Thanks for any advice.

The short answer is: You can use any type of thread that is suitable for the garment. Regular sewing thread, serger thread, etc.
Longer answer: Some like to use monofilament thread because it is clear and goes with any color, but it is hard on the machine and can actually wear grooves in the thread guides.
I really like to use Gutermann Hemshire U151. It is a fine polyester thread that is very flexible and works great in a blindstitch. I order it from Atlanta Thread and Supply (www.atlantathread.com). Their prices are reasonable and they ship quickly.

No luck findong your but Go to www.reliablecorporation.com. Under products check out the MSK555 blindhem machine. It is the same as the Rex 518. To the right of the page is a category to download the manual. It is very helpful.
