Question about Averatec 3200 Notebook
On my Averatec 3200 PC Notebook, for a while now, I can read off of a CD, but I can't write to CD. I am using the standard Windows writer (open Windows writable CD folder). Everything seems to go smoothly right until the point it says " making final preparations to the disk." Then I get an error that it couldn't write to the disk. It suggests that maybe something is wrong with the disk and to try another, but it's not the disk. Perhaps there is some upgraded software/firmware I need to download?
Unless you have already gone that route, try a different brand of CD; I have a bundle of those that won't record. I can't recommend any particular brand; I've had duds with most all of them. Checking for new drivers might be a good step anyhow.
