The error could be due to the cartridges not properly installed on your printer. Try to open the printer cover and remove the cartridges > close the printer cover > re-brick your printer by
pulling out the power supply - the black box where the power cord is
plugged into. Re-plug after 30 seconds. > when the printer turns on, reinsert the cartridges. Try to print again to verify that the problem is fixed.

Follow the steps below to fix the problem:

Usually that happened once the printer was not set to default setting after it was installed.
To set to default, click start, choose printers and faxes, select the lexmak pinter, click file select default printer.
