Wont start without starting fluid

1990 F150 straight 6, 4.9 liter. wont start unless starting fluid is sprayed in. it will run, but once shut off it will not start unless starting fluid is resprayed. pump works

    1990 F150 with 351 will not start without starting fluid. No power (12v) to fuel pump relay coil. Relay checks good about 64 ohms resistance. EEC relay powers up properly.

    then runs good, starts wen it is hot. have new gloplugs and they woork,

    runs fine when lifted 2 inches but shuts off right when let down

Could it be a plug up injector , have sewiing needle , stick it in the sprayer part of the injector on the carberator part

Check fuel pump pressure, it should be above 55psi. If it is good check compression in cylinders. It should be above 120psi.

Truck runs rough
Sounds like one of your chambers isn't firing. Run your car for a few minutes, shut it off then pull your plugs one at a time and see if one of them is wet. Might just need a new plug.

4.9 liter will idle but wont accelerate have to start with ether
yes checked fuel pressure and replaced the fuel filter, checked the mapp sensor,tested throttle position sensor, has strong spark, 50psi fuel pressure, fresh tune up, runs real rich and rough idle but wont rev up like fuel injectors arent speeding up, also checked exhaust. thanks julius
