There are settings for the sleep (power saving) modes that came with Windows updates.
Some of our monitors also shut off the power indicator light when they go to sleep.
Solution: Check the power saving settings in Windows.
if the PC can be booted up and after that the monitor goes into powersave mode... if that is the case, you can turn this function off by clicking start and then run button, In the dropdown box, enter "powercfg.cpl" (without quotes) and click ok.. Note: one can also use Control panel and then select Power option icon.
Once you are inside the power options property.. turn the monitor's timing off by selecting "Never"...
One could also turn off the power management from the BIOS setup
If you cannot even get the monitor started and got a "no signal" before getting into the safe mode, most likely you have a problem with the video card or the cable. Have them fixed by either changing the cable or the video card.
You will need to check if the refreshing frequency rate if you have the video card or the drivers changed.when the refreshing rates are not the same between the monitor and the PC's video driver, it will give the same problem
Turn off power saving mode in your monitor. In monitor beside orange light there will be a menu button press it and find for power management ok it turn of power management. The problem will be fix.
Unplug your dekstop from the electricity then press and hold the power button on your desktop for couple minutes with out no power cable attached to it then let go of the power button then connect your desktop back to electrical outlet and press power button once that should give you display once it turns back on you can go into your power saving options and turn off power saver mode as its conflicting with your LCD sometimes this can occur if you have Norton antivirus installed if after doing the power drain and still get same message then you can try using a different monitor if you have one for a test. this issue is not with your monitor but with the PC has been stuck in sleep mode but the power drain should solve your problem.
To power on the Gateway VX750, press the power button on the front. The power button has 3 sides with a "G" in the middle.
The LED indicates the power status of the monitor.
Not lit - The monitor is turned off or does not have power connected.
Blinks one time and then goes off - The LED blinks one time when the
monitor's power cord is plugged into an AC outlet to indicate that power is
detected.
Lit solid blue - The monitor is turned on and active.
Blinking blue - The monitor is in power saving mode. Before entering
power saving mode, a message
briefly appears.
Try going into your Start Menu then going into your control panel...then clicking on your "power options"....then switching the options to 'always on'..if this does not work..(as it seems you may not be seeing this because the monitor is in power saving mode) try fiddling with the setup option on your monitor and find a possible powersaving mode enabled function and disable it. every monitor is different so I couldn't really help you here...if this doesn't yield results try another monitor to see if it's the monitor having the problems or the computers video card...the video card could very well be the culprit...
Check the VGA cord that connects from the PC to the LCD, try putting VGA
cord properly to the LCD and PC, or change the VGA cord. saving mode
indicates no signal from the PC. So either the PC is not booting up or
VGA cord faulty.
Most monitors will say "Power save mode" when they can tell through residual voltage that the signal lead is plugged into a machine, but there's no picture being transmitted. The four states of a monitor are:
* Off entirely. * Switched on, plugged into a computer but no video signal being received - usually displays "analog power save mode" or "digital power save mode" for a few seconds, then blanks. Comes back to life the moment a video signal is received. This state is the default in full power saving mode. * Switched on, not plugged into a computer. Some monitors don't display anything, some go into power saving mode, some fly "CHECK SIGNAL CABLE" or a similar message around the screen. Picture is restored when the signal cable is plugged back into the computer * On fully, receiving an image, and displaying.
Turn the whole pc off then back on. If the LCD stays in power save then I would try a diffrent monitor on the PC. If that fixes it the the monitor is probably stuck in power save. Check www.lcdrpair.us for parts and instructions.
