1992 Pontiac Bonneville with v6 3800 engine automatic trans. Car starts but has a dead miss in it you can up the throttle to half way and miss clears up. Put new plugs and wires on.

2005 Pontiac g6 thermostat is reading 200 and I only drive a mile down the road ... What could this be?

ased on General Motors' lengthened "Epsilon" platform, the Pontiac G6 was produced from 2005-'09 as a sedan, coupe and retractable-hardtop convertible. For '05, only the sedan was offered; the coupe and convertible debuted a year later. Three main trim levels were offered on the sedan: base, GT and GTP (which became the GXP in '08). Coupes were either GTs or GTP/GXPs, convertibles GT only. Plenty of standard features, such as air-conditioning, full power accessories and CD audio, came on the base model. The GT added niceties such as an upgraded Monsoon audio system. The GXP topped the range with items like sporty exterior styling tweaks and automatic climate control.
At the time of Pontiac's demise, the G6's engine lineup included a base 2.4-liter four (164 horsepower), a 3.5-liter V6 (219 hp), a 3.9-liter V6 available on the convertible only (222 hp) and the GXP's 3.6-liter V6 (252 hp). Four-speed automatics were standard with all except the GXP's V6, which got a six-speed; however, the four-cylinder got an optional six-speed for 2009 that raised highway fuel economy to a laudable 33 mpg. Some power ratings were a bit lower in previous years, notably the 3.5-liter V6, and a manual transmission was available on a limited basis until '08.
In reviews we found that the Pontiac G6 offered generous room for those riding in back, no matter the body style. And we noted that after years of enduring criticism about its overstyled exteriors and gimmicky interior designs, Pontiac stepped up its efforts with the G6. Outside, the G6 had a crisp and sleek look; inside, there was a restrained and attractive layout with none of the traditional dull gray plastic switches. Even so, the G6 still had a few too many cheap plastic surfaces for our tastes.
On the road, we appreciated the low and midrange torque of the 3.5-liter V6, and the ride was smooth. The convertible's optional 3.9-liter V6 should be avoided if possible, though -- it was barely more powerful than the 3.5-liter V6 and got worse fuel economy. Handling was respectable, but we disliked the electric power steering, which was too light and offered virtually no feedback. GT models from 2007 and up had an improved hydraulic steering setup, which we preferred. Along with the enhanced feature content of the later models, we'd recommend focusing your used Pontiac G6 search on the '07 or newer models.

2001 Pontiac Sunfire 5 days ago car started jerking ( it felt like I was driving a standard shift car) it does this alot when I accelerate or turn corners. it also makes a very loud noise when in park

Sounds like the torque converter lockup is having issues im not certain on that model but the older ones had a plug down in the front square with four wires i believe you can unplug and it will work fine

You're gonna have to take the door panel off and unbolt the window from the track to get it raised up, if you go to that trouble you may as well fix it while you are in there.

2001 Pontiac Aztek power windows do not work when hot or cold. Presing the switch on the drivers door makes a buzzing noise. I tried replacing the switch but no luck.

Inside the door is a pair of rods, connecting a wire in a figure 8 pattern. There are four tiny little plastic tabs that surprisingly, break off fairly easily. I had mine break off when A GPS suction cup prevented the window from going down in auto mode and the window dropped into the door. Without those four plastic tabs, there is no way to connect anything and you have to get an entire new assembly for your window. You might be able to fabricate yourself some new ones, but if you can do that, then you're not on this site to begin with. The dealership wants an arm and a leg, but the unit is fairly self explanatory as long as you're comfortable taking your door apart and working on it yourself.

Disconnect the wire connector at the driver's window motor and install a test light or meter at the connector then operate the switch and see if the light or meter indicate proper function of the switch. If function is correct then the window motor/regulator is probably failed.

check the fuse supplying the automatic windows - as all 4 windows are not functioning this is likely to be the main cause. Alternatively, the relay supplying the automatic window motors may be faulty but check the fuse first...

2000 pontiac bonneville rear window cable came off

On my 2000 bville, all four of my windows came off. All four had the same problem. the upper and lower cables go around the pulleys then connect to a plastic piece connected to the track. This plastic piece breaks and lets the cable free. I fixed them all by removing motor assembly and reconnecting the cable with coat hangar wire. Kind of a redneck fix, I know, but beat paying 160 dollars per window for a new assembly that would probably break again!! Good luck!!
