Washing Machine HOTPOINT AQXGF149PM

Length of cycle does not match the minutes displayed

Yeah that could be the problem, it is true that i did put extra detergent in as there were some stains. It was also quite a large load, I also chose the extra rinse option. When it got to the end it said it only had 0:01 minute left to go but it went on for ages. (the cycle said it would be 2:30 - but it went on for about 6:00 hours!)

The light that displays the length of time for the cycle is flashing and saying F01 and the machine is not commencing

Try unplugging the machine for at least a few minutes - if this doesn't work it will be a engineer call out.

Hotpoint WMF940 Washing machine - 11 months old. The cycle times displayed do not represent the actual times. No 5 cycle takes over 3 hours. The other displayed cycle times are similarly not...

If it is indeed less than a year old, then I recommomend you contact Hotpoint direct as the washer will still be under the years guarantee, and you should get a call free of charge
Check with Hotpoint at the web address below.

They should be able to help you.

Blue display gets hot and has faded

hi, it may have a dry solder joint you could find.
a new display can be bought from hotpoint for about £55 according to their website.
if your machine is less than a year old it's a guarantee job, if under 5 they fit the part free but charge for call out. a local engineer may give a better quote. it's a 5 minute job to replace.

Hotpoint WD860 Washer / Dryer

Firstly unplug the machine. Take it outside, use petrol + match. Go Currys and buy anything other than a Hotpoint.

All serious apart from the petrol and match, as that could be dangerous.

Check to see if any water remains in the machine . SOME MACHINES IF They DO NOT DRAIN OUT ALL THE WATER WILL CONTINUE TO run until all water is drained. Also check for suds in machine if machine senses suds it will try to re rinse the clothes. If your machine has a filter at the bottom clean it out .
