CANNOT CONNECT MY SAMSUNG I900 OMNIA TO TMOBILE. WENT TO TMOBILE STORE AND GOT NEW SIM CARD. THEY COULD NOT GAIN ACCESS EITHER WITH A TMOBILE SIM CARD BUT COULD WITH AND AT&T CARD. ANY THOUGHTS?...advice was to take it to a shop?

No luck... this is not a sim card issue. As stated before when tmobile dealer inserted an AT&T card it connected immediately. For some reason the GSM phone no longer will find the tmobile network with anyones card. We even tried to change automatic setting and detect tmobile manually, keep getting no network available.

  • archneil Aug 22, 2008

Why would I need to contact AT&T when I explained that the dealer, when inserting an AT&T sim card activated service immediately on the phone. I subscribe to TMOBILE and cannot at this time get service when I did before earlier today. Did you mean an UNlock code?

  • archneil Aug 22, 2008

Purchased an UNLOCKED phone that did work for a few days....

  • archneil Aug 22, 2008

Service provided tried and suggested that I acquire a new sim card, which made no difference. Can they unlock the phone if it is in fact locked
    ?

Either ur sim card is old ( newer phones support the new version of sim cards). Old sim card have different voltage. You will need to call T-mobile and ask them to send you a replacment sim card (with the same number).

Another possibility is that ur phone is locked to a provider, If you bought this as a unlocked phone, contact the place you bought it from and ask for a replacment

Hope this helps

Hi there,

I kinda agree with betz73 solution.

I think you brought LOCKED phone. You need special tool to fix this problem, like USTPRO2 for unlocking your phone so you can use it with all provider simcard.

BUT, the best and simple suggestion from me, you can go to either Repair Shop or contact your first network provider to unlocking your LOCKED phone.

*2767*3855# -> Full EEPROM Reset ( THIS CODE CAN REMOVE SP-LOCK ON SOME PHONES!! )

Put a non-accepted Simcard and turn it on. Type *#9998*3323#. Press Exit. You will get a new menu. Select Malloc Fail or #*7337# for new phones

These are the unlock codes that i have found so far. I am not sure exactly if these codes will work for your model but you can give them a shot.

If these codes do not work the you will have to contact the carrier to which the phone is locked to get the specific unlock sequence for your model. Most carriers charge a small fee for the code.

Try to remove the battery and the sim card for about 5 minutes and then put them back in, your phone should detect a new sim card........

Good luck........

Have your samsung already unlocked for all network? If you never do unlocking process before, you need to unlock your phone using samsung sgh-i900 omnia unlock code for your original network sim card.
