Question about Canon Office Equipment & Supplies

1 Answer

My printer broke while under warranty. I took I to the advised service provider and they said it should be fixed in a week. Three weeks and three visits from me later they tell me they cannot fix the problem and it needs to go else where to be fixed. In the mean time it has run out of warranty! What do I do, I think they should deal with it?

I turned on my machine and an error message that read CAUTION MACHINE TROUBLE SERVICE CALL (0500). Just purchased konica minlta magicolor 1680 mf a week ago.

With it still under warranty, I would hesitate in any fixes that may negate said warranty. Here is the information to get a hold of Konica: call 1-800-208-1203, select option 4 and have your serial number available.

You might also call the place you purchased it from, being only a week old, it should not be having any issues.

I hope this helps

My Canon PIXMA 640 will not switch on. I've replaced the plug fuse and plugged it into a new socket. Still dead. It's only 3 weeks old. What is likely to be wrong? How can I fix it?

If it is only 3 weeks old it will still be under warranty. Don't try to fix it as you will void the warranty.

Return for repair/replacement.

Error message ##357

Dear Sir,

Had the same problems (#357) about half a year ago, send it to Canon under warranty, they fixed the problem within a week without costs, superbe service.
But..... last 2 months the error fault comes back once in a while, luckily this time restarting the printer solves it. But I am waitying for the day that it needs a fix again.....

Previously working cartridge now incompatible

I have a very similar printer. It is very fussy with cartridges. Take it out and clean it with a Q-tip and rubbing alcohol. Electrical contacts and make sure the ink dabs onto a napkin. Dont buy another HP :(
