When "On" press on the recorder the "on/off" button for 10 secs. This will turn the recorder "off. Open the front where you can manage manual the player. press the "stop" button in the same tim also the "page up" button. This will eject the CD/DVD.

Om my Panasonic DVD Recorder Model No DMR-EX85EB I have lost tuning to the Digital Decoder for freeview channels. Annalog tuning is working ok. At a gues do you think this would this be a simple repair?...

Open the device and remove the hard drive.
Look at its assembly's legs. If they are bent they have probably cracked the board.

Looking at the device having the front side towards you, look at where the upper right screw from the hard drive's assemblly was. You'll notice the board is broken just there.

If it is, you'll have to remove the whole board and rebuild the broken tracks underneath, usually a pair of them.

Hope you can solve the issue. Good kuck!

What ever disc I insert it show NoRead. It seems to think there is a disc in when there isnt

I have the same problem on a DMR-EX85EB DVD Recorder, and the local approved repair tecnician told me I had to replace the DVD drive. The cost was in the region of £200, unless your machine is still under guarantee.

Some of my dvd movies do not work in my recorder and some do why

DVD players may not all read the same discs due to the software that was used to burn the discs, scratches on the disks, or the DVD player itself. Also, different discs may be different "regions". If the disc is region-free, it should play universally as long as there are no problems with the disc itself. Sometimes the DVD player cannot decode the image due to bad hardware.

Hi, sometimes if the disc is not completely flat in the tray, I get the same problem. Pretty low tech, but sometimes works!
