You might have installed the wrong driver for your computer's operating system (OS) version. Uninstall the driver then check the OS version (32-bit or 64-bit). Right-click on My Computer (Computer) then select Properties.
The system information of your computer will open then look for the system type.
Once the system type is determined, reinsert the driver CD then right-click on the CD-ROM installed my Crosley pictograph CR5503A - jan_mczeal_1.jpg Explore.
The contents of the driver CD are listed. Open Driver folder then select and open the driver folder for the OS version (32-bit or 64-bit) of your computer. Right-click on installed my Crosley pictograph CR5503A - jan_mczeal_2.jpgetup) file then select Run as administrator.
The driver will install until a notice is shown that the scanner has been install successfully.
You can address the "Acquire Source Failed..Restart Dinstalled my Crosley pictograph CR5503A - jan_mczeal_3.jpgight-clicking on the scanner button at the status bar then selecting Maximize.
A window will open. Click File and select and click Select Source.
Highlight (Click) the name of the correct scanner installed then click the Select button.
You should now be able to use the scanner.
