Question about Speed Queen AWS52NW Top Load Washer
Intermittently, when the machine is switched (any function) nothing happens. It sounds to me like a switch/selector problem.
Assuming it is, is this a job for a ok DIYer.
I would start by checking the lid switch, you should hear a click when you open and close the lid. If this is ok we will move on to the timer.
The main power comes thru the timer when you pull out the timer knob the main power is fed to the machine. if you try and start the wash cycle multiple times will it occasionally work and then not. It so replace the timer. the p/n is on the back, it will be an RSPC number, typically 5 or 6 digits.
Then go to Partselect.com or repairclinic.com or a local parts house since you have an Export model for the Asian area I believe you may need to find someone local. The price on one I would think about 85 USD.
Let me know if you have questions. I can tell you how old it is if you send the serial number. Your choice.
