Language setting Microsoft office

Hi, I have followed all the steps to change the main language from spanish to english on MS offiice, and office continues to appear in spanish, what else can I do? I have changed the settings on the computer, the keyboard under date and time, went on the Microsoft office tools - language and removed spanish from the languages available...and when I re-open it it set itself again to spanish. Even the main language is set to english, yet everyting continues to appear in Spanish.
Thanks in advance.
Tomas.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Hi ericd1009,

You can change your default settings in Microsoft Office to a language of your choice. The following steps will guide you.

1) Go to Start > All Programs > Microsoft Office > Microsoft Office Tools and then click Microsoft Office 2003 Language Settings.

2) Click the Enabled Languages tab.

3) In the Choose the language that defines default behavior in Microsoft Office applications box, select the language you want, and then click OK.

3) A message appears describing the effects of the change. To continue, click Continue and lose customizations.

If this information was helpful, please rate it.

Thank you for using fixya,

How do you change English to Spanish on a Windows 7 computer...welcome screen & everything in Spanish...is it possible?

It depends a bit on your installation but you should be able to do this. First install the language if you need to. (Win7 Ultimate and Enterprise allow for Multiuser User Interface Pack; All other versions use Language Interface Pack and you must install the Parent language. Microsoft.com and search for the appropriate pack.) The LIP doesn't translate everything. Then in the Control Panel, click Clock, Region and Language. Then click Region and Language, the Keyboard tab will let you change the keyboard language and the Administrative tab will let you change the System Locale. Once you install the additional language, you'll also see a tab for Display Language. Set this to Spanish.
Hot keys are also available for switching on the fly once the language is installed. The Welcome Screen will get a Keyboard Layout button when more than one language is installed to switch languages then. (This can be locked for some users so see the Windows Help to find more information. It's still in the Region and Language section.)

If you only want the Spanish, consider reinstalling the OS with an international (or whatever MS calls it) version of the OS.

I hope this helps.

How to change microsoft word language

If you want to have english spelling pick from the upper toolbar:

Tools - Language - Set Language.

If you want to change the interface, you will have to reinstall the whole MS Office.

Had the same problem :-)

How I could put the spanish alfabet in my toshiba key board?

the letter "ñ" is written on a english keyboard as follows:

while holding down the <alt> key also press on your numeric key pad (not the numbers on top) "0241" that creates the "ENIE." Have you thought about using the multi-language capability in Microsoft Office? That's assuming you are using MS Office 2003 or later.
Best of Luck!

Hi orthoww,

To change the default dictionary in Office 2007:

Click on start - All Programs, then on Microsoft Office, then on Microsoft Office Tools, then on Microsoft Office 2007 Language Settings.

A window will pop up, and in that window, make sure that "Primary Editing Language" (bottom option) is set to AUST english.

Then click OK.

Then open up your program, and your default dictionary should be set to the language you wanted.
