HOW TO CHANGE THE LIGHT BULB IN THE REFRIGERTOR

Hi,

To change a light bulb in the refrigerator, remove the plastic cover that covers the light bulb. This cover should just pop off by simply squeezing the cover gently. Look at the bulb to see how many watts it is and the type of bulb you can buy a new bulb at any home improvement centre. Insert the new light bulb and replace the cover.

If the light on the refrigerator is not working after changing the bulb, unplug the refrigerator. Using a screwdriver, gently pop out the push-button collar on the inside side wall of the refrigerator. There will be two wires connected to the push button switch. Remove the two wires and replace the switch. You can purchase this part at any appliance repair centre that carries parts. Make sure you write down the model and make of your refrigerator and take the information with you before attempting to purchase parts.

Lights are not working in the refridgerator. Freezer lights work. Replaced switch, still no lights

did you replace the bulb? what you can also check, and the likely cause will be the socket itself. unplug the fridge from the wall outlet, remove the bulb from the socket. you will see 2 copper tabs, on e on side, one at bottom of socket, bend these slightly toward you, to ensure they contact bulb. replace bulb, plug back in and check. Light bulbs have been replaced but don't light

Hello Binfull,

Since you replaced both bulbs with new ones and they still won't illuminate, there is a high probability that the open door switch is not working or if you have a newer style refridgerator then in some models if the electronic brain for that model sensed the door has been open for too long, it will shut off the lamps.. Try this.. unplug the firge for a minute or two then plug it back in. Check to see if that 'power up clear' cycle got the lights to illuminate. Also, if your model has a freezer that has lights in it check to see if they go on. Hope that helps you.. Good luck...

Broken Light Bulb

Unplug the refrigerator first.
Then, try removing carefully the base of the socket with a pair of long-nose plier.
