My camera won't turn on - Cameras

Kodak is no help with this problem. I had an online chat with a rep whotold me the problem was definitely the batteries (new Duracellalkalines), and that the camera would only work with Kodakrechargables. I asked for a button sequence to reboot the camera tofactory defaults, and he said there was no such thing. I asked why themanual said to send it in for repairs, and he said I could do that, butall I really needed was the batteries.

We bought the batteries. The same problem occurs. So I called the Kodak support line, and theysay to send it in for service. They're not interested in making goodfor the incorrect promise of a solution or for the money we spentbuying their batteries. I am very disappointed with the quality oftheir product, the competence of their support people, and theircommitment to customers.

Fujifilm xp30 that won't turn on.

Things to check first for a camera that won't turn on are battery contact points, and micro switches that are located on the battery and memory card doors. Troubleshooting tips on other things that need to be checked may be seen here. These tips won't work for every case, but they're worth a try.

I dropped my canon powershot SD 4500 IS and now it won't turn on! It's survived countless other falls just fine, and would turn on immediately then. All times, including this time, have been when...

Really!....you've dropped your camera "countless" other times and now you're concerned because this time, it won't turn on!!! You're not sure what else to do?!!! How about not dropping your camera. How about using the wrist strap. Your dropping luck has run out...your camera does not have nine lives.

My camera will not turn on even after charging it for a long time. The battery works in other cameras except mine so the battery is not the problem. Why will my camera not turn on?

Perhaps you have bad batteries? Connect it to another power source such as an AC wall outlet and use your power adapter and see if this helps. If it does not or you have already tried this then your camera may need to be serviced.
