Get a transformer to take with you, but make sure it is sufficient
for the watts of the Keurig.

The voltage in US is 110-120 volts and the amperage is 60 amps. In your country the voltage is 250 volts which appears to be high as the general voltage in Asian countries 220 volts and the current is 50 amps You have to use a transformer/adopter which can reduce the voltage from 250 to 220 Or it is a universal adopter where this aspect is covered up. In that case you have to check the amperage. 300 watt is the power consumed and has nothing to do with low/high voltage.

I have a electric dryer Model WED5810SW0 THAT I WAS TOLD I COULD CONVERT TO 120V from 240v is this true and if so how do i do this?

If you consider doing this the first thing is SHUT THE MAIN BREAKER OFF. Use an auxiliary light source to see when working in a dead panel. Always keep in mind an ARC FLASH ACROSS HOT MAINS HAS ENOUGH HEAT TO PEAL THE SKIN OFF OF YOU. Before an explanation of how to do it you should keep in mind that this is for a single receptacle only. If any other receptacles are on the same circuit they will also be changed to 240 volt receptacles and if you plug any 120 volt device into them, the 120 volt device will be destroyed. That said OK, any 120 volt outlet can be changed to 240 volt by removing the 120 volt circuits neutral, re identifying the white wire with red or black phase tape and connecting it to a new 2 pole 15 amp breaker. The maximum that this circuit will now load up to is, on #14 wire at 80% = 12 amps at 240 volts. The 120V receptacle must be changed to a 15A - 240V receptacle so that 120 volt devices can not be plugged into it. Never use 2 single pole breakers together because code requires that on a fault trip both legs of the 240V circuit must be disconnected simultaneously. Voltage converter buying guide. Voltage Transformer Buying guide.Voltage converters also known as voltage transformers are devices that convert foreign electricity to power devices from different parts of the world. A step down voltage converter is a 220 to 110 volts converter. A step up converter is a 110 volts to 220 volts converter. Our 2-way converters are voltage transformers that convert power from both 220 to 110 volts and 110 to 220 volts. They also work with 100 volts, 110 volts, 120 volts, 220 volts and 240 volts. Hi .. am in a country that has 220V power outlets. What do I need to use my kitchen ais that has 120V, 60hz and a maximum of 330 Watts requirements?

You need a Step Down Voltage Converter (also called a Voltage Transformer)
which steps down 240, 230, 220 volts to 110 volts and
allows you to use 110 volts Devices from USA in 220 v / 230 v / 240 v Countries

My country use the 220 volts system do have to use a step down transformer of plug it in direct.it has been a year i have not used the appliance having no information on wattage

If your microwave is wired for 220 volts AC and your country standard house current is 220, and the plug is of the proper configuration, plug it in.

Standard microwave size is around 1100 watts at 110 volts Normally, two times the voltage is 1/2 the wattage. Ohms law, Voltares Law and Watts Law apply.

If your microwave is 1100 watts at 110 volts --- yes you will need a step- down transformer of some type.

Safest thing is to use a transformer. If it is only 35 watts, that is pretty small.

Often you can find a small "control transformer" that has dual primaries for 120/240 volts.

Connect it as an "Autoformer". In this connection you would only need one thaat would handle half the 35 watts... However, the smallest is probably 5 watts giving lots of capabilty. Google "autoformer" to see how to connect it. Essentially the primaries go in series and you take you 110 from one-half this combination.

The secondary of a control transformer used this way would NOT be used but just taped for insulation.

You might contact a heat and ventilation company as they may have one... even one that was removed for very low cost.

My window air conditioner will not start. First time installed this season.

Make sure you have the correct line voltage at the plug. Some are 110 volt, some are 220 volt.

Here is the kicker...220 volt can be plugged into 110 volt plug at the wall with no damage.110 volt cannot be plugged into a 220volt socket at the wall without sustaining damage.

You can find out the required operating voltage of the a/c by reading the nameplate data printed on the a/c specs somewhere on the machine(not the housing}.

The plug end from the a/c should clue you into the proper machine voltage if you purchased a brand made in the USA.If it came from some third world country like Bangladesh, for example, the cheap bastards probably didn't wire the pigtail in at time of manufacture cause they are cheap ********.

You get what you pay for these days.

Call an electrician to chech it out.Don't be like the Bangladeshians!

SA3 amplifier to move to Europe : capability of the transformer ?

While living in the States I purchased a Bose Acoustimass 10 system but have now moved back to the UAE. As the system operates on 115 volts ONLY I would like to get it work on 240V without having to use a step-down transformer. By changing out the transformer form 115v to 240v will it work or will I have to change any other components within the system. Can anyone help me??

Well, as a rule for electronics:
The United States and Canada use 110-volt electricity.
Most countries outside North America use 220-volt electricity.
Unless your appliance is dual voltage, you need to use a "converter" or a "transformer" to change the 220-volt electricity into 110-volt electricity in order to use a 110-volt appliance.
If your appliance is dual voltage, you can switch it to work on 220-volts, without a transformer or converter.

HOWEVER

Desktop units have a selector switch for 110 / 220 volts., which is done away with in the case of laptop one's which sense the input voltage and regulate accordingly.

I think your main concern is just that you have an adapter for the plug to go into the wall outlet.

Hope that helps :)
